u know why i say it will go up to 3k? simple... look at the spec it has 4gb and latest wm6.1 with 3d interface. and from your price made my estimation half correct... that price isnt include with taxes and stuff... so it will be landed around 2.7-3.2k...
3.2k is because it is Tytn II's price. Of coz we all hope it goes to 2.7k...

Official HTC Touch Diamond Case:

QUOTE
There’s no denying that HTC’s Touch Diamond is going to be a real fingerprint-magnet, but the company doesn’t expect us all to wear white cotton gloves when we carry the smartphone.  Instead they’re surprisingly proud of the Touch Diamond’s slip-case.  It’s lined with a microfibre-style material that they claim will clean both sides of the handset whenever it’s put in and taken out.

For a bundled slip-case, it’s not bad.  Thankfully HTC have resisted the urge to over-brand it, and the leather is sturdy and feels pretty scratch resistant.  The Touch Diamond is also a good, snug fit inside, because the last thing you want is your expensive new smartphone dropping out!

...btw on the launch of this phone, iPhone also got 3G-fied already.
mmm...maybe on that time we can see iPhone vs Touch Diamond, both represents different platforms (WinMo and OSX Mobile). what the outcome will be, i'm just waiting.

- Battery life is “better than most of our other devices.” WinMo 6.1 is between 8% and 21% better for battery life.

- Prices in 2-3 weeks, to be set by carriers.

Here are some info...

We shall see about that..

at least we can see how they can maximise the potential on both platform.
still early to say anything as the unit still not in market. eagerly waiting to see how will it be in our hands.
oww btw the OSX Mobile platform in the iPhone is also flexible, plus it's more stable albeit it's relatively new.
looking at the spec sheet, the Touch Diamond is supposed to be a great phone. another great member of Touch family.
mmm...just wanna see if the touchflo3d on the contact list is really that practical or not. so just waiting for that unit to arrive in our market to see how will it be.

p.s: btw i still have some skepticism on WinMo platform (yeah crashing, need to force close application, lagging, etc etc, the things that WinMo's users are familiar with). but maybe that's all due to insufficient resources. looking forward to see what the outcome will be for this Touch Diamond.
Seaedge
bro.. diamond uses 192mb RAM... brows.gif
but still i find the video of the interface is slightly laggy. it still has WM's downside for loading times.

i always hope for the best of all..

maybe this is what a winmo phone really needs

maybe.. because even 128mb doesnt give the snappy performance needed...
its good to see that they put in 192mb... by next year, we will see 256MB RAM... and processor should be around 1ghz... drool.gif

thats the evolution of technology.. hahahah
StratOS
got news on the phone oredy.. afternoon will get the price.. estimation, but dunno when will reach in.. wakaka..
MattJ
Stratos,

Give a review man once you get your hands on this. I still feel that Touchflo 3D is still inferior to Multitouch of Apple.

This phone will have memory card slot or not? i read the specs and it only say internal memory 4gb? if no card slot present, 4gb will be tad insufficient since its a win mo device

Feature wise and design wise i say this definitely exceeds the tytnII , and all htc products currently on the market, finally a htc that looks awesome thumbup.gif
Nidz
how well this phone when compared to xperia??
IMO, the specs are quite similar, except for the battery maybe..

X1 has WVGA screen, Diamond has VGA
X1 has memory card slot, Diamond not
X1 has sliding qwerty keyboard, Diamond not
X1 is bigger and heavier
StratOS
No memory card.. built in 4GB oredy lor.. no need memory slot oredy.. and need VGA screen to make those prictures more real in 3D..

X1 has WVGA screen, Diamond has VGA ( I think VGA is better for surfing while WVGA better for movie )
X1 has memory card slot, Diamond not ( You need to pay extra for memory card and loading time may increase while doing certain reading from memory card )
X1 has sliding qwerty keyboard, Diamond not ( size say it all - 17mm vs 11.7mm )
X1 is bigger and heavier ( One of the reason is cause by the 1500MAh battery... That thing really huge @_@ )

windows mobile apps/games can go as high as 300mb per apps, so for the heavy users 4gb may not be enough for all their apps and not counting songs and stuff

i seldom install apps/games more than 100mb. and i can hardly finish my 1gb card with all apps i need.
4gb? i put songs can la.. if not i wont even touch half of it.

but i do notice if a pda phone installed too many apps/games... one day your phone will be like haywired..

i like my pdaphone clean and light(as in memory wise)...
