Here is my column..
i use [How To] to tell all here how to make 'something' at ur desktop and ur computer.
i'm newbie here..so please share with me or advice me if i make any mistake.

My First Lesson is :
How u want to make Invisible Folder.
So u can hide it from ur frens.

Below is the steps:

Step1- Make ur folder name become 'blank'

1. Make a 'new folder' at ur desktop. (Right click/ New/ Folder)
2. Now, lets rename it. (Right Click/ Rename)
3. Press 'Alt' and hold. then type 255.
4. Unpress "Alt" button and click anywhere at ur screen.
5. So now u'll find ur folder with "no name".

Step2- Make ur folder invisible!!

1. Right click at ur folder.
2. Click properties.
3. Choose customize
4. Click 'Change Icon'
5. When the icons appear to be chosen, click at the 'blank area'.
6. Actually, the blank area is an invisible icon and many of ppl dont recognize it.
7. Press ok and u'll see ur folder is invisible.

@.@ I did this on my Vista. In the end I can't delete it nor rename it or move it. LOL I give up and luckily I reformat my com soon after and I never tried it ever again XD

i just tried o XP..ok ah, can delete and rename..vista cannot?

Yah.. I remembered the horror that time @.@ Cos my desktop is always empty one. I wanted to find back the thread to know Alt+??? but I can't seem to find it. LOL. Long story short I created a new desktop folder and directed it there as my default desktop folder. ahhaha

There's a way that might work.. Since now you know it's Alt+255.
Go to the folder using cmd prompt. Then try del [Alt+255] Hopefully it works. I wish you all the best. haha~

What type of windows u use?

VIsta or XP..

mine is XP..and i can delete my folder..

why u cant?

cannot find ur folder bcause it's invisible?

try use some software like unlocker or else.. maybe it will work



when we type 255, we still pressing the alt? tried several time type/press/type/press finally it works but not sure how i did it
but then mine the icon is still there, just its not normal folder icon, its some other icon.. weird leh.. but nvm lah

then type 255..
after type 255, u can release alt button.
u'll see ur folder without name.

then follow step 2..

Fake virus? Oh okay, I know that one. Using 'Command Prompt' to execute the fake program, use 'Notepad' to type the batchfile.

Of course u cant see any blank icon..
but if u perasan..di antara icon-icon tu ada ruang kosong..
try to click that space..then u'll find the blank icon..

but, i dont want to type the batchfile or using command prompt..
i can teach u to make a real level 1 virus also using notepad..
it'll damage Internet eplorer and delete 1 system file.
u can make it and give to ur enemy..
but i think it'll illegal to talk or teach here..]

There i teach how to make a command and time setting..when u click that icon, it will count ur setting time and shut down anyway. only 1 way can stop it from shutdown..
So, it's like a shutdown virus..not a really virus..but you can prank ur fren use this method..

Look at the pic above..
when u had finish invisible ur folder's name..,
then u have to invisible ur folder..
so click properties and change folder.
choose the invisible folder like above..

That's all..

i tot go to the last column of selectable icons & just click at the "empty" available space

To delete this in Windows Vista, run Command Prompt (cmd) and change directory (CD) to the folder that the invisible folder is located. Then run the command ' rename "Alt+255" "newnamehere" '. Where the Alt+255 is pressed, not by typing a-l-t-+-2-5-5. After the folder is renamed, you can then delete it. Cheers ^^

Lol, sometimes you can just accidentaly discovered this folder if it happens that your friend does the same way. I might as well just select hidden box and hide my folder, this way will be the safest method

i know that's the safe way..but not the safest..
bcoz when ur fren click search at start menu and start to seach..
all hidden files will appear also.
the safest way is u download folder lock or access lock..
it doesnt allow any method find the file except with password..

or u can hide Search folder at the start menu..
know how to hide search folder from start menu?

so any good folder lock software to recon?

You don't need a software to lock a folder.. Just do a search in Essential Guides Section and you will find it..

but that lock, you only can use for the people who didnt know this way and not a computer freak,
for us who are know this, we can easily edit the .bat file and edit the things.
if u cannot open, haha.... delete everything inside. (bad person do)

Yeah, you're right.. It's either you get the free file encrypt software or hide your folder.. haha

This is something tricky!

hidden folders has two types

one u can view after u have set in ure folder options to show hidden folders

thee other one is a super hidden files/folder which u need to set at registry to show.. for windows xp/vista..

but if u want to keep ur folder safe from any 'penyelongkar' u can make the folder protect by password...
