Hi all,

I did some browsing for a thread specially for the Grand Theft Auto series, but I didn't come across any, so I would like to start one here. Discuss anything Grand Theft Auto here! FAQs, mission helps, etc.
I've been playing GTA for many years now, so I am an experienced GTA pro.
My favorite is Vice City!!, though for some reason I play San Andreas most of the time.

Yalor, i really feel a bit of sad when i see totally no news about GTA4 on PC... somemore teh Rage engine (Rockstar Advance Game Engine) are used to develope game on console only...

This will bring smile back to GTA fans, this mods gives high resolution reflection, texture, bloom effect and other things for good measure in GTA San Andreas

just wathced d trailer and gameplay demo and it was HOT!!!!
nice graphics, entertaining and all sort off gud stuffs...
but some review said dat, there will be no crazy stunts and rampage...

GTAIV there will be no player customization/car mods/girlfriends and such, right?

I am a GTA fan as well, I managed to complete GTA3 and GTA Vice City, still somewhat stuck in GTA San Andreas.

i have finished all 3 GTA games long ago ardy from the 3 games, i still feels GTA VC is the best among the rest the only annoying mission is the flying RC copter i dont know why i cant fly in VC but i can fly in SA

I remember during GTA: SA, I stop playing WoW for more than 3 months just for GTA: SA.

There is gonna be GTA 4 for PC???

That will be uber cool because the platform version also can get multiplayer gaming mode,if pc it will be a BOOOM!

For gta4, u can actually multiplay it. Some sort of counterstrike in the form of racing mode. Well it wont take a year to come out, shud take juz 1-2mths and the pc version shud be out.

VC which RC mission? The one you have to blow up construction site? That was quite easily actually.. though on my first attempt it was hard (don't know what to do/controls)

The SA's one was slightly hard too.. Zero's RC shop missions.. on his second mission, you have to fly some stupid small RC Bandit and shoot up your rival's vehicles around town.. with a very small fuel tank..

Ohh.. i remember the pain and suffer that mission put me through, all the countless F word from my frustation !! haha.. but i did finish the mission.. i remember shooting the RC shop owner once i finish the mission.. to release my tension and the hell he put me thru.. hahahaha..

GTA4 is due out in just two weeks. But I'm not about to fork out M$1,400 for a PS3 just so I can play ONE GAME. I'm willing to wait it out until the PC version is released, which is a long way off, if they do want to go ahead with it.

Speaking of GTA4, two game reviewers have already given the game 10/10 ratings in advance. Sounds promising.

thats awesome yeah same here...i aint gonna buy any console just 4 one bloody game...but when it comes 2 upgrade high end PC just 4 crysis, that is different story

I was supposed to get a new PC later, so I'll be ready.

Even so, I'm going to try the game out at a video game store.

That's gonna take around 1 year + for them to make the GTA4 available @ pc. But I guess definitely worth the wait.

It isn't just that, mate. The reason Rockstar North excelled in the GTA series was because they had a winning free-roam formula that was improved upon in GTA III and hadn't changed much since then. Which is the problem. After all these years, the series hasn't been incredibly revolutionary gamepaly wise, and previous major titles won popularity from other aspects of themselves: GTA: Vice City was loved for its excellent 1980s-themed execution and GTA: San Andreas was acclaimed for its sheer number of missions and areas to venture.

If you ask me, the series has potential to bore real gamers away and turn into a cesspool for braindead noob gamers.

GTA 4!!!!!!!!!!release april 29th........sad only for xbox n ps 3 T_T........hope pc GTA 4 release this year Q4.....and hear rumors say about maybe this Aug release.....

GTA 4 returns to Liberty City....groans...I never liked GTAIII for some reason...

Played all the games from version I to III and even SA. Pretty much tempted to get PS3 just to play GTAIV.... hm... time will tell

No the storyline for GTA4 starts anew with no old characters. There's only one city which is Liberty but the buildings have more floors and it's way bigger. Guns can't be bought from Ammunation and instead you'll have to get it from illegal dealers. So much for being realistic.

I predict some nice "references" to the past GTAs in the game, by billboards or easter eggs, or in the radio stations.

I really enjoyed listening to WCTR in SA, btw
K-JAH was good too, along with K-DST and RadioX.

really? so if this concept is used 4 the future 5th GTA, will we be looking at extended vice city too?

So...is there any Pay & Spray or was that removed due to realism as well? O.o

heck, to even steal a car, u need to break the glass, enter, hotwire then only can drive..there is even tollbooth which u have to pay...

GTA radio deosnt disappoint and i believe the 4th wont also

GTA is one of the best RPG i've ever played. Played GTA3 till SA.

Anyway, some of you guys were talking about multiplayer GTA. I played it once this year. It's fun killing ppl using all sorts of weapons and roaming the whole map like there's no tomorrow. and you just keep killing and dying. Nothing much special since there is no save game or whatsoever to save your character. But, it is still very fun -just like the real GTA:SA but with real ppl controlling the other characters.

BUT, the BAD about the multiplayer GTA was LAG. Because the servers are the US and European server. The nearest server with a smooth play is the Australian server.

I'll recommend GTA fans to at least try once to have a look what the HARDCORE GTA FANS have created. *it is a third party multiplayer game created by fanatics, so it has nothing to do with Rockstar *

ya but this time the Multiplayer are by rockstar..

This time around you'll have an MP3 phone according to this months' Gameaxis.

Well they did say that there's added realism when it comes to being chased by the cops. You'll have to respray yer' car and stay out of the police patrol radius. So yea there's a Pay&Spray.

Had my hours on GTA series. Great game, great enjoyment. Looking forward to the new pc version.
