i like to use mac os x, the reason i get a mac starting from the eMac panther era is because of it simplicity & .nix based.. but right now i feel the speciality of being a mac users is taken away instead feeling like a loser for using a mac, and in this web 2.0 era, everywhere i go, from digg, youtube, engadget & some of the social sites, damn! there are many fanboys hanging out and they can't shut the F up about how good their mac is... im so sick of this, i know mac is good, so as windows & linux and depends on ur computing lifestyle is.. i feel it's so uncool and it makes me sick!.. another thing about iphone users why can't shut the heck up too, maybe someone should come and slice their throat and when it try to dial 999 the iphone just simply pop out call failed and left u guys bleed out to death!
to all malaysian/international apple fanboys out there.. im sick of u guys! sick sick! shut the heck up... just eat ur damn apple, enjoy it silently!

i think this is not a problem. just enjoy your apple product(s) and no need of being sick to this so-called fanboyism. yup, no point of being sick of it.
btw, i've seen lots of comments placed under engadget depicting fanboyism. what i can asume lately is most of them are orchestrated comments to generate more hate to apple products. and then they can call this weblog site is bias to this and that. now u get the picture.
c'mon it's nothing to be sick with fanboys and fanboyism. these are just opinions from virtual world, so it has nothing to do with our real world. i can't really see how this thing can influence with our usage of the product(s). no harm actually. yup fanboyism has no real point, but being sick of it is also pointless.
oh i forgot about the poll. i'm not a fanboy.

Hmm... I'm not sure...
One of the reasons why I started using Mac OS in the 90s because Windows 3.11 kinda sucked.

It was also due to my job that I used a Mac.
I like how the mouse cursor moved around (compared to how it seems to float around in Windows.. I can't explain it but on Mac OS, it feels a bit more.. robust and solid).
If I was a bit richer... then maybe I could be a fanboy. I wanna be a fanboy!!!!
I also liked how Apple released some pretty interesting and innovative designs for its product.
I remember when Malaysia first adopted WiFi, there were hardly any laptops that were WiFi ready but my Powerbook was one of them that were. Sure it was a bit lonely sitting alone at Starbucks/Gloria Jean testing out Airzed WiFi but deep down, you just felt a little bit special. haha!!

Am I a fanboy? Nah...
I rarely use a Mac these days. My previous 3 jobs didn't have Macs but I still do have trusty 5 (or was it 6?) year old Powerbook.

Using apple computer first time when I was in ITM back in year 1996. Unique when compare to normal gadget. Remember it mouse only have one button. And apple always unique when compare to others....
But for my collection. I get the cheapest among iPod family.... Shuffle....

Im a fanboy of "practicality" and "ease of use". Which part of this Fanboy Country am i in?
Seriously, if circumstances are the other way around, and Microsoft turns out to be the "practical" and "easy to use" part, i'll jump ship without even thinking.

Love-hate for me. First OS X made my software slow.
Then Intel made it obsolete.
Sticking with Apple nonetheless. Nothing personal against
Windows except some minor interface irritations.

I have bought many macs and Apple laptops since 1992.
I think its more than 15 over the years. I manage to sell all of them before upgrading.
I had 4 windows based PC also, I cant even sold 1 to upgrade. most of them are junk now.
using a mac is easy, upgrading it is also easy and dont loose much.
no virus attack like the windows. its that simple.

actually if Macs had not gone Intel and be able to run Windoze natively, i would not even have considered a Mac... no matter how good it is at doing all the "fun stuff"...
But that being said .... using a Mac (and on MacOS of course) really brings user-friendliness to a new level. Then there's a UNIX underlying layer to satisfy all the geekness-wannabe urges as well.
So all in all, MacOS X + Darwin + Windoze ... its a nice triple combo to have in one single machine.

Hi! Im a switcher .... on the net everyone have their right to their opinions and views .... if you dont like it just dont read or watch it. By telling others to shut up you think it will help .... and not like you founded Apple? Just my opinion.
