So uh, anyone played this pretty old (2005) game? It got rave reviews 93%+ ; figure I'll try and catch up with all the great PS2 games I've missed out.

I've got an Asian PS3 so its only compatible with the NTSC-J version -- play-asia.com is sold out of the 'chinese' version with english sub-titles; if any of you know any more info about the game, would appreciate it.

I found someone selling the Japanese version -- can you play through the game without any english subtitles? I've heard that it gives you 'tips' on where to go to defeat the colosus which might be helpful.

unless u can buy the JPN version extremely cheap, why not wait for the Asian reprint version?

anyway on gamefaqs, there is a file called "Shadow of the Colossus; game script"

http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/sh...ssus_script.txt

it can help translating the JPN text including the hints, but becareful of spoilers whistling.gif

Ah, thanks..yeah I can get it for less then 20 USD. Funny, I've been trying to find a game shop in KL that sells original games but none of them do because there is no market, lol.

May 22nd is ages away, and by then my time will be taken up with GTAuto IV, GTurismo 5, and MGSIV smile.gif

Just need something to fill the time between now and then.

BTW, any of you guys tried ICO? Heard that was pretty good too and from the makers of the Colossus game.

i played both of the game on my PS2, one of the best game i ever played, it make u "feel" the game throughout the whole game play. i think if u like ICO, you should play colossus as well.

I'm checking out Play-asia now and it seems like they over inflate the PS2 asian versions -- they are more expensive than the US ones...which makes no sense at all. E.g. Shadow of the Colossus goes for 30 USD+ (JP version), 50 USD+ (Korean version), but 20 USD for the US version...don't get me started on the final fantasy prices..insane...no wonder people are pirating.

Added on March 30, 2008, 4:15 pmAlright guys, finally ordered SoC at YesAsia for about ~20+ USD which is okay for such a classic. Also went ahead and got ICO at PlayAsia, albeit at a more expensive price. I'm willing to pay for such cult classics.

If you all haven't checked it out, please do smile.gif
