The game will be out on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP and mobile devices.

For the first time ever, players will be able to team up for co-op storylines in the Road to WrestleMania mode and take advantage of an overhauled tag structure to earn attributes on their way to the top. Tag teams -- both in and out of Road to WrestleMania -- will utilize the same momentum meter, break opponents with double team finishers and make "hot tags" for the win. Also making its debut will be Create-A-Finisher, which allows fans to choose from more than 500 animations in their quest to build the ultimate move. Specifically on the 360 and PS3, fans can look for the debut of SVR downloadable content[SIZE=7]

the 2008 didnt really receive goody reviews..got the ps2 one but wasnt that.. i dunno..didnt have the OOMPH factor..hopefully 2009 will shore this up and make it good.

Looks good so far. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a huge letdown like SD! vs. RAW 2008 IMO.

Co-Op season should hopefully be pretty cool.

Anyways does look good indeed. And the Create-A-Finishing Move seems like a cool addition! String together 10 moves! Daymn! Must create my dream finishing move..but first..to come up with it!
Co-op will be cool, always enjoyed the multiplayer in the old WWE games but pity they never really implemented a co-op tagteam previously.. gotta see how this one pans out when it's released.

got hooked playing SVR 2007 but he the 2008 one sucks. the story mode is very repetitive and yea like VashTheStampede said lacked he OOMPH factor hehe. hope SVR 2009 will be better.

I wonder what went wrong with 2008.. do any of you think it was the storyline part? i actually found all that 'signing autographs' ,'R&R', 'film a movie', kinda thing rather boring. I just wanted to play and wrestle!
I know it was supposed to make the game more storyline based and more like an RPG.. but i dunno.. its pro wrestling! I want a storyline sure, and maybe some bit of interaction, but what i want more is to just layeth the smackdown!
well that's how i felt about 2008.

yeah......the "RPG" element really turn off man.....just get to normal wrestling and some interesting storylines should be sufficient....no need go sign autograph and shit....waste time..

I quite like wrestling but wrestling game turn out to be worse n worse. There's few things I hope they add n change in SvR2009.

1. All the damn old moves. Pls remove it or at least do multiple different move while u are performing a move.
ex. Instead of having Pedigree 1 and Pedigree 2, just combine them in a single move so when triple h perform a pedigree, it will randomly use animation of pedigree 1 or pedigree 2.

2. Reanimate the old moves that we have seen for YEARS like ROCK BOTTOM having the same animation over the years.

3. More in ring walking, crawling, tiring stances moving around instead of just plain walking. Especially wrestler stand up with robes, turnbuckle and so on

4. MORE in game realistic n posible Taunts. The taunt is slacking every year.

5. Updated roster man. How can we miss out so many rosters of ECW in svr2008

6. Com'on no more big show choke AIR slam ray mysterio with his choke above his head...

7. Better commentators..

8. Story line forever boring, becoz wrestlers dont act like how they were in the real wrestling.

9. I want at least 3 finishing moves and also slot at least 3 finishing moves..

10. What the helll so difficult to include more attires for every wrestler? Lazy THQ n Yukes just too lazy to do it. And with their excuse not enough capacity of a disc. Com'on blu ray got 25 gbs.

11. Don't tell me u cant have more than 8 wrestlers on the screen at once. It's new gen console ps3 or xbox. I want to c at least 12 wrestlers fighting in the ring of ROYAL RUMBLE

So far 11 only. Actually rest a while.. later continue adding.. Cause if want to point out, there's plenty more to complain XD

I hope they make the finishers execution like first version (the first Smackdown). Where the name of the finisher flashes across the screen. that'll be great.

haha yeah those additions would be cool. for sure. however not sure if they can have so many finishers cause wrestlers dont have that many in the first place!
I want Royal Rumble to have AS MANY wrestlers as possible! they must keep coming.hahah. im SURE it can be done honestly.
About the animations.. i guess some animations look old..e.g. say the Rock Bottom.. it does look old but thats cause Rock hasnt been in WWE for a very long time, no idea how he does it now?
The moves are getting more and more complex.. im not sure if i like it or not.. WWE Smackdown games used to be the pick-up-and-play kinda game. now.. not just any n00b can play, need to learn all the complex stuff.. wonder if its a good move
oh well.. we'll need to see how it turns out. but hoping for the best!

really hoping Yukes bring back the fast-paced arcadey style gameplay from HCTP,or at least they could make the moves look really hurt,cuz i just dont feel the impact like moves in HCTP

aside form gameplay,the graphic looks really nice,love Randy hope RKO looks cool and really hurts tis time around
