Hi,

I am thinking to get a used EF2.0x II TC tomorror.

What's the price that you known off? Anyone has Desmond price? And what is the used price to expect.

Once I got this TC, I might be thinking of selling off my hardly used 100-400 + 30D to fund new camera.

I know my 70-200 + TC2.0x still lost to 100-400... But I hardly use that... And when I need the reach, I might borrow Cannon from my friends... laugh.gif

Bro, How much you selling the 100-400mm? How old and condition? Details.....

Im looking to get the 70-200 f/2.8L IS + TC2.0x combo as well. But still pondering about that combo VS the 100-400mm + keeping my 70-200 f/4L IS.

P:S The TC1.4X and TC2.0X are both around RM1.5k right? hmm.gif

Since you have 70-200 f4 version, it is best to get it...

Ok... My experince with 100-400 IS sure beat 70-200 f2.8 with 2.0x TC is rather simple;

(1) With original Canon TC, the autofocusing is slow down, so tracking performance is degrade.

(2) With 3rd party TC is worst, tracking easily OOF because autofocusing is not slow down

(3) Image quality, the native 100-400 is clearly better than the 70-200 + TC

The age is about 1 year... That's all. I think only used 3 times...

I have no rush to sell it off yet... But if the price is right, why not? Maybe want to take one moon picture at 400mm + TC2.0 first... Anyone know what is the best place to take shots of moon? hmm.gif

Main reason for selling this lense off is I needed the money to get a better camera body. I face some limitation with my 40D. I also need to see off my 30D soon.... Need the money... sad.gif

Since the lense is of the least usage, so logically should let it go... and get some thing I needed more...

Beside, when I need the reach for focal length, maybe I can borrow some big lense from my friend biggrin.gif

Thanks for the reply and the views.

I made a mistake. I wasn't planning to get the TC 2.0X II but instead, the TC 1.4X II cos the 1.4X doesn't degrade the performance compared to the 2.0x which you can say, massacres it! Reviews state that the 1.4x is ideal to be used on the f/2.8 IS.

We don't have many fullframe Canon reps here. Or at least none I've seen. Maybe you'll be the 1st. Go go VOIP!
