ai-s is manual focus lense...
af-s is lenses with built in focus motor...=)

1. you won't be using it a lot. i mean this FM 2
2. unless films drop from the sky, if not, you will be complaining about how expensive films are.
3. unless you do a lot of black and white photography. not those colour negative technology black and white crap though. i am talking about those conventional black and white. even that, you might want to do the processing and printing yourself to get the most out from this lens.
4. you will be thinking that your d3 gives you better quality. so why bother with colour slides like the fujichrome velvia 50.
