Is there a software or way to find out wad ur network provider's networking equipment?

I stay at a hostel and want to find out wad network equipment they are using...is there a way to find out?

try to open ur gateway ip address, sometimes u can see the modem name ..
sometimes it`s go to the firewall itself =)
