Just a rant lah.

I'm more active in LYn forums compared to other Forums simply because I LYN has the RSS Feed option compared to others which has the email option only.
I find the RSS feeds to be much more useful than the email options.

Then again, this is personal preference.

then you must learn. RSS feeds is like the next best invention to sliced bread.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)

see the wikipedia entry.

For myself, I'm using Liferea in linux and subscribing to multiple feeds/sites. All of the sites I read I can grab and see what is new all in 1 short and just read through it online or offline. (if offline, then the pictures won't refresh lah)

The refresh page is when you _know_ there's something new on. This is much more effective lah. try it and you will like it.

click the rss icon and put it on your bookmark/favorites. It's the best form of surfing just before we can each choose an avatar and walk around the virtual web streets in 10yrs time.

You fellas are really lazy is it? Use lah Google and then you will learn.

That's an unusual reason to prefer our forums, but thanks for the feedback anyway smile.gif I'll look to adding more gizmos for the photography community here in the future.

The RSS is best when u haf a Pocket PC. Then it only shows the topics u wanna read real quick without having to waste lotsa time loading other things. I used it a whole lot on formula1.com to get the latest news. Unfortunately iPhone doesnt do RSS.

RSS feeds are very useful and it saves time. There's no more need to do bookmarks of pages and to"remember" to go there and visit and to press f5 to see if there's new happenings or not.

Each time you're online, you open up your RSS reader, and let it suck up all the articles and then you can skim through it offline.

You won't have to search where you _last_ read the posts until, because it will highlight to you which posts you have not read before. It is really a timesaver and also, when you want to respond, you just click on the post and it will automatically send you to the correct page to post your views.

pressing f5 is so way ooldddd!

Thank you for the RSS feeds, else I think I won't be active here. drool.gif
