Hi there, I'm sorta new in this forum, so I hope you guys can help me out. I just bought a PS3 today (from Nelson Koay, great guy) together with DMC4, which I definitely want.

It's pretty obvious that MGS4, GTA4, GT5 Prologue, God of War 3, and FFXIII are must-gets when they do come out. I really really really want Rock Band as well, but the price tag is just too insane (RM800+!!!)

Seeing as how PS3 games cost quite a lot, I need to make my decisions carefully. smile.gif What existing games should I aim to get? And what should I look out for?

Burnout Paradise looks pretty sweet so far. I probably have a budget of one game a month.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

P.S. I already have an old Sony Trinitron 30" TV in my room, would it really make that big a difference if I played the PS3 on a HDTV? We have a Samsung HDTV outside in the hall (one of the big, nice ones) but I like playing in the privacy of my own room, plus no siblings/parents to fight TV with me. Is the graphic quality really that big a difference between HDTV and non? How about my flatscreen computer monitor (17" - I have a VGA box), would that give better picture than my old TV?

Not many people mention this game, but Super Starstrike HD is one of the best and most addictive PS3 games I've played so far. Can't go wrong for 30 bucks.

I whack only fix it in main TV hall... coz my room is not HD... i prefer in my room la, but 47 inch HDTV in TV hall, how can i say no?

Anyhoo, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Burnout Paradise, Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (Coming Soon), The Orange Box (4 games for the price of 1, not perfect games, but worth it!), Assassin's Creed, Need For Speed: ProStreet, Resistance: Fall of Man (Online play is good), Motorstorm...

I'm sure there is more, but i cant think of any...

First things first, HDMI cable sudah kah ?

But err... COD4 is a must have. Uncharted is a must have.

Others.. so far.. err... oh yeah, get VF5. It's dirt cheap @ P-A.

The VF5 offer in P-A is over.

There are some old games that are quite good, e.g. Resistance - Fall of Man and The Darkness. High Velocity Bowling, a downloadable game is also really good. It makes good use of the sixaxis controller. If you like DMC4, then you should play Ninja Gaiden Sigma too.

HDTV - yes! You need it. Try hooking it up and there will be no turning back!

Yeah I bought the HDMI cable along with the PS3... It looks like one of those old electric kettle cables, hehe.

Well I tried it on the HDTV (40" Samsung) and it's soooooo clear. Guess I'll keep it there. biggrin.gif My room's TV is all hooked up to my PS2 anyway, and I haven't finished FFXII yet. So got something to play when I can't play outside, hehe.

Main trouble right now is that my wireless router is in my room, and the signal is so weak outside. Only 2% signal strength. Guess I have to get a wireless receiver for my PC and put the router outside. *Sigh*

Everyone seems crazy over Uncharted... What kinda game is that? What genre?

I don't like FPS games by the way (tried Call of Duty 3 at my cousin's place in the US last year... didn't really like it).

How's NFS Prostreet compared to Burnout? Better? Good replay value?

The next game I'll get will probably be something that has multiplayer like a racing game or a fighting game, so I can have friends over to play too. (Sigh want Rock Band soooo badly)

Uncharted is awesome dood (i dont have the game *sigh* but i wish i did, i probably will own it in a few days)... If u like Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia, u will surely like Uncharted, i know i do! except that i think Uncharted has a little TOO many enemy's... NFS replay value is LOW... but that is my opinion... can play online, but not as fun as Burnout online... the online part in Burnout keeps the replay value going... but NFS is good, u noe, customizing cars, etc...
jeerie
If u got extra budget for this month... go get Heavenly sword and Uncharted....after play both game, u will feel more "sayang" to your PS3....
devilfedora81

Been looking at reviews and screenshots...

So many games look soooo good. I'm glad I didn't settle for an XBOX360 or a Wii.

Only problem now is how long I have to wait before I can get another game, but I guess the anticipation increases the excitement. icon_idea.gif
