My amp sot sot edi.. its so called "protected"
everytime i switch off my HU... if i restart straight away.. my woofer wont work.. i have to wait for like a min..

is there anywhere i can repair my amp? recommendation please?
fast, cheap, reliable service?

ok the green light keeps blinking & the red light was on... the red one was a protection light..
so the accesories guy said my amp is "protected", ask me to send for repair wor.. he was honest enough to say it can be repaired, & dint ask me to change amp~~

ok the problem.. whenever u switch off ur HU.. if u instantly switch it back on, i guess ur woofer still turns on along with everything right..?

as for mine.. if i instant restart my HU.. my amp doesnt kick my woofer along..
have to turn my HU off for a while.. later turn it back on baru my amp start kicking again..

means once u switch off ur HU the amp will goes into "standby" mode and cool down for some time.. if turn on instantly the amp also doesn't work..

have to wait for a while only can...?

first time hear this kind of problem.. anyway since the accessories guy knew that it can be repair, he duno where and who can do the repairing meh?

he knows.. but its too far for him to do it for me.. come to the think of it.. maybe i can ask him for help..
but in the mean time.. i do hope i can find someone to help me..

sure its not a wiring problem? check your power,grounding and rca connections if ketat or not first..last time i sold a set of speakers,the customer complained it was faulty..after check his wiring,the rca on the amp was loose..secure it with a few wire ties then ok ready..same problem,speakers kick in after awhile when u turn on ur HU

Have u tried pasar road? just go there and ask around,maybe got some tech shop who does this stuff...

Most of the time when electronic devices start failing,its not that cannot be repaired but if few parts start condeming usually the whole system is becoming unstable and if you manage to repair it,something else will give way soon..not that im tryin to discourage you bro,but mayb you should look into the cost of a new amp also..

Plug in another amplifier and see if the problem persists. If it does, check your wiring throughout.

Maybe you can let us know what brand and model of amplifier and we can be more helpful in pointing you a service centre that caters for it. For example, if it is Helix, Brax, Zapco or Tru Technology and you send it to pasar road, by golly they might not have the right spare parts or expertise to repair the unit and/or worst of all they return it to you with missing parts. No kidding..

actually no point of guessing/knowing the brand of amp... too many outside there

so solve is better to get a person/shop that specialist in audio and chk it out the problem...

The point is so we can direct samsoong to the distributor, that will have technical expertise and parts for the amplifier. He can get a quotation and if it does not fit the budget, he look for alternatives.

If you send directly to a cheap third-party technician, yes they may get it working again but to orginal specification is really unknown!

Want to get it fixed, get it done the right way. Of course this is only my opinion and recommendation. Not meant to confuse anyone.

I think better check your wiring first, amps always have protection from overheat & overcurrent that's why the 'protected' led is on, it is protecting your amp from kaboom.

but that only protect u from overheat, when u boom too keng until almost overheat, then it cut the power..

now TS's problem is that, everytime off, can't on back directly..

thier service is good.i've been there with my ex a few time,it still give very good customer service.
the pricing was rather cheap too.they sell branded amp,woofer and stuff like kenwood,rocktards,etc.even my cousin brother went there to modify car.
