What is the program that will allow me to read chinese words in certain websites?

WINDOWS XP provide chinese words, go to control panel>regional languge install east asian languge.
You also can try install others chinese word converter like NJ Star or Chinese Star.

Thanks for the info, but can I download the 'east asian languge' somewhere else other than from the cd?

Because I don't have the cd currently, can I get that language on the web?

is it ur windows is OEM version?
try search for i386 folder on "C:\windows", or probably somewhere else. im not very sure but i done it before, install east asian language without cd, the language file should be inside i386 folder, roughly 230mb.

I found my i386 folder, but it is only 91mb.

When I tried to install it, the WINDOWS rejected cause there is not .exe file inside that folder.

just make sure ur windows xp is OEM version, eg u bought the system from Dell, acer, packard bell, and so on.
because OEM system doesnt come with windows xp CD iirc.

i386 folder should have 400mb of size, and 4k of files.
urs one prolly is retail version.

go borrow CD from ur frens....

there are many ways to do so,

1)when u r installing the XP, then customize the setting in language
2)Install chinese star
3)or in mozilla firefox , go to view>character encoding>(choose the character that enable u to read)
