I read about this first ever official Sony PSP gathering in the gameaxis mag last night. Anyone read it yet? Anyway its about an official gathering by Sony themselves, no exact date stated & can't find any further details on the net. Only know its gonna be around Cineleisure Damansara and there will be small tourneys where you can win prizes (including a new PSP!).

If anyone has more info on this event, please share. Will update often.

Yup, I don't think they let CFW users in. But we need to read the rules and regulations first. Anyone has it, please share.

As written in GameAxis, the date is 15-16 March.
If they going to held tournaments, I think they going to provide the PSP themselves...well, at least that's how they do it in Singapore. Don't know about Sony Malaysia.

I wonder how many and what games they are planning to host.. haha

If the date is confirm then I would have to take leave.

According to the article, the wireless PSP competition will involve 4 genres: fighting, sports, racing and shooting.

LOlz.. I doubt they're gonna have MGS:PO coz you need to have like soldiers and stuff.. so it might be a bit complicated to play with I think..

But then again I'm an all-rounder player of every genre.. so I guess I'm already prepared for the games to come..

hey, I think they're gonna provide the PSP consoles for competition games for that day. Coz there would definitely be people around and not all would be able to see the PSP screen...they might use PSP Slim and connect to a TV screen while the contestants are playing. At least one of them should...

if we doesnt tagteam together, for sure he will bolot all the medals... especially in mgspo...

if psp and games provided, i would like to join too...

Tournaments normally will provide with their own gigs. Even ngage competition of the past brought their own, so this one should be no different.

Its quite ridiculous to hear people organize a big event but not to provide the consoles with it.

the only thing that blocking me from going to this gathering is "how in the world i'm going to obtain free UMD's to play there..??"

I don't quite get the competition thingy.. I thought there is prize for it.. I doubt there will be a need to buy stuff from them.. It would be absurd !!

actually i bought PSP for Silent Hill origins... and now i need another reason on how i can cope with it.. so there's a possibilities that i can attend with UMDof games u guys want to play
