A year has pass and I've yet to see an RPG game on the PS3 worth spending my money on. What happened to SONY? PS2 used to be a RPG haven console but it doesn't really seem that way for the PS3 All I know is FF13. White Knight Story (Shirokishi) and Star Ocean 4 is coming,. Still only these few titles?

Anyone here knows any other title which is in development? Even the X360 has respectable RPG title released (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey)

360 release almost 3 year PS3 .. only 1 year... how to compare... .....

actually got quite a few PSOne jrpgs on Asian store for RM15/ea - JPN language though

why not try the folklore demo? folklore is not really a traditional jrpg but it has some jrpg elements.

can also try the enchanted arms if u can buy it cheap. i played the 360 version and was very pleased with it - nice witty dialogue, even though graphics is not its strong point.

XBOX 360 as of current is an inferior console due to its 3RROD. I wouldn't lay my hands on it until they revamp the whole unit (JASPER).

I am currently downloading Folklore to try it out.

I have to admit it, I am a Playstation fanboy. Owned PS, PS2, PSP & PS3.

aiseh, why must involve 360 into the thread. ppl who like 360 so much can go discuss the games in the 360 rpg games thread (my copy of LO Asian is still in the mail )

I read from GameSpot that this Lost Odyssey is a good title. It will give you a memorable moment playing through this RPG title.

Actually I still like turned based RPG with those fancy cut scenes. I still enjoy these sort of titles.

*Upon further reading, it seems that Namco Bandai is in fact releasing Trusty Bell for the Playstation 3

actually, best don't get your hopes up for upcoming trusty bell/eternal sonata. i played the 360 version and its quite underwhelming - radiata stories (ps2) is a much better jrpg.

It does somewhat look like Dragon Quest 8 with cartoonish drawing but it's in HD though. We will have to wait for review though.

i have high hopes for Eternal Sonata actually........

its not a bad game, just dont have too high expectations.

for example, i din't have high hopes for enchanted arms before buying but it turned out to be quite enjoyable- din't regret buying it at full price

well i like tales of the abyss and i was hoping eternal sonata is better than tat...is it??Tales of the abyss i think is one of the better "Tales of " series...

i am finishing up folklore...a very good rpg i must say, not your typical everyday RPG, with sixaxis functions (we need innovation, not the same shit over and over again, its NEXT GEN by the way ) next week my enchanted

I tried the demo for Folklore.. errr, i didnt like it. Maybe i'm just not a HUGEEEEEEEEE fan of RPG, But i did enjoy Oblivion and waiting anxiously for FF13.

yah, i agree, dont like folklore.. think it as a waste of money.. better wait for FF13 (years waiting).. and still... wah, where is the damn RPGs..??

I've downloaded the demo for Folklore. It's quite disappointing. There's no voice casting in the game. We are not in the PS1 era. COme on, it's PS3 and voice casting should be made mandatory for all RPG games.
