gear: don't know

what i like: look at the pics, it tells a thousand words. A lot of PP, but it's a different type of portrait shot. Result looks very cartoonist.

name of photographer: Paul Caponigro (75 years old)

website/folio:http://www.soulcatcherstudio.com/artists/caponigro.html

gear details: not sure

what u like about them: i read about him when browsing Black and White magazine on December 2007 issue. He's a legend in his lifetime, and one of the greatest living photographer and in incorruptible connection to the pioneering master of art - Ansel Adam, Minor White friends and mentor.

"Art is essentially heart, and its no secret that my chore, you might say, is to find a means with this tehnological medium of photography to keep poetry alive. The key is to not let the camera , which depicts nature in so much detail, reveal just what the eye picks up, but what the heart picks up as well"

"In photography, i discovered that if i could manipulate the light of silver in just the right way without a formulized method - to take the light that was available and find a section in the grey scale the renders the light best - i could let nature reveal itself"

Caponigro once described photographs as "Dream locked in silver"
