Hi Kee,

If there was a script for the G900 it would've been much much easier, but unfortunately there isn't. Which is why I posted the guide. (I don't know how to make a script.)

Can you upload the original bin file? The unmodified one. If it did not have 000D you weren't supposed to add it

though I don't know how you managed to get 2 CDAs anyway.

But remember, if it doesn't work, just restore the original GDFS

GW1 is noticeably faster, especially the touch scrolling of zoomed images.

anyway, zombie, on the 000D part, my hex did not have that! ??? mine was different. I changed it to 000D, and didn't work. I left it as it is, and didn't work too. SEUS still say, no update available. I followed your instructions to the d.o.t.!

so sad.. i want GW1, because on my previous P1i, i successfully changed the CDA to GW1 and updated via SEUS, and it ran faster, fonts had anti-liasing, yada, yada.

hi masterzombie, well after i restored the original gdfs, the 2 cda are still there...
anyway, i noticed that xs++ recognise it as the new firmware, but SEUS says no updates....

any clue?

Here is my original GDFS.

Note to the rest, please do not use other GDFS (even your friend's same model) except your own (or your own modified). I read around and they say if you do use other GDFS from other phones (same model), it will brick your phone, i.e. kaput!

Hmmmm... re-comment.. somebody else said, no problem using other GDFS because like XS++, it's a generic GDFS.. i confused liao..

I was suppose to check on the G900 price last Friday at Atlantis SS2, PJ but went to the wrong shop which is a few shops away, didn't check what is the shop name.

G900 AP set without bluetooth headset: RM 1,230
G900 Ori set with bluetooth headset: RM 1,580
G900 Ori set without bluetooth headset: RM 1,500

I'm still doing survey on the phone before buying it.

BTW, can anyone tell me what is the model of the bluetooth headset that comes together with the phone?

JuNz-V, thanks! Superbid is having a Nokia N95 for bidding tomorrow. The cool thing is a lot of people think the sets are AP so they bid until AP pricing then they stop. I can confirm that the sets are original. Mine came with the bluetooth headset too.

Any1 here have problem doing back-up when Note is selected?

I have got problem doing back-up and i dedicated 1 night of my life to trace down the culprit. I try wit various combination and nab the culprit to Note. I delete some of those obsolete note i have and its ok now. I have yet to get the pattern of the problem but its definitely from Note.

its kinda confusing as some web host takes super clear picture with this phone, but from mobilereview when comparing it to n82 n U900, G900 fails badly to meet the standard of a 5mp phone..

but i hving problem with the side key for camera..i can't use it for taking photos and to start camera application huhu..

n 1 more thing.. i can't set the flash on/off..

plz sumone help me!!

Try updating your firmware. Mine had some funny issues too when I started using it. Couldn't view contacts from my sms card. After updating the firmware, everything is fine.

Do you have Nightshot on? If you do, flash cannot be used.

Take a look at your manual. It gives you the website for updating the firmware. You need to connect your phone via usb to your pc to update.

For your time, did you select the local time? Make sure you location as Malaysia and select Singapore time. Then there's a Zone of Interest or something like that, which should be left as Greenwich Time (if you selected UK English as your language).

Download and install the SEUS update software. Or an installation CD should be bundled with the phone.

Regarding your SMS problem, does it happen only today? because I think there is a problem with Maxis network today... Network signal is weak and lines are not clear

hi guys.

my gal's 2 days old G900 starting to have some issues. It lags at times, hangs and when in camera mode, the flash setting it defaulted to "OFF" and i can't seem to switch it on. all the camera settings are set to normal mode eg. IS enabled, fine pic quality etc etc....

whats happening?

I downloaded the SEUS software. But then i am kinda worried that i might damage / corrupt my phone by doing this procedure...

All the same, I'm planning to buy the phone within the next few days. Why don't I go for the G900? Well, I'm a poor student so money is quite lacking, haha. Anyway, I foresee I won't use the WiFi a lot, and as for the camera, 3.2 is sufficient la I think. For everything else, I have a DSLR

So please, if anyone can give me feedback as to their experience with the G700, i'll be grateful.

it depends highly on what you prefer..
camera quality? wifi capability? design? etc.
n also, your budget.. by not stating those, forumers here can't help u to identify which is suitable for u..

well...just take the N82 out 1st...my budget around rm1.2k-1.3k...n main purpose is the camera while wifi is optional but might be useful i think

How bout u go over the shop and give it a try. I feel that extra WI-FI features dont kill when u need to use msn or maybe just check up something on the web? U know at starbucks, relaxing while reading the news on yr G900,besides i assume u wont be carrying yr DSLR wherever u go, u can use yr phone and snap

If camera is yr main purpose, then i suggest u put the n82 back inside, read reviews from smape and mobile-review. both stating the camera of g900 is below standard level. so, the camera is purely for cantik purpose

Awesome idea bro. I'll be going over to Lowyat maybe this weekend. Did go to a shop in Wangsa Maju, offered me RM980 for the G700, AP set, comsat or telstra. Hehe, I don't hangout at Starbucks much la dude, more likely the local mamak shop

Yes, the WiFi will be cool, but it's a luxury I don't need, I think. To tell you the truth, what swayed me so much towards the G700 is the fact that Eldar Murtazin of MobileReview.com has expressed his love for the G700 in at least 2 of his posts. The man sure knows a thing or two about handphones, I bet. Thanx doomx!

If u are purchasing at Lowyat there careful with unethical sellers. Make sure dont get con. Well, the back of the phone is what really makes me dont wanna let the phone off, it feels so.... GOOD!

. Besides that, the phone is quite good. The reason that i will be changing to G900 is simple because im using a k810 now, impossible i change to another 3.2mp without AF. Besides that,I need WI-FI to keep me stay awake in college

well if camera is your main thing, u should really put n82 back into consideration.. n82 has the best camera quality from your choices..
next to it, i think it will be c902.. i've compared both g900 n c902 side by side before, n the picture taken by c902 is way more attractive compared to g900's.. the image colors looks way more richer in c902, while g900 images are really dull.. however, g900's screen width beats c902, as c902's screen is quite small..
so if u want both wifi capabilities and camera quality to be excellent, get a n82..

p/s: i'm also considering n82 vs g900.. still around here to check howz g900 since its new.. but one thing i find negative about g900 is the camera, the images captured are really bad for a 5mp standard..
but don't forget, one +1 point for g900 is the touch screen and its also newer compared to n82..
