is this phone really good?
i saw someone using it and da design doesnt look as good as the ones in the pictures. hmm..

btw guys i think that is not the hp fault... i have some problem dailing out and also ppl hard to contact me also...
this happen between me and my colleague which i'm using 012 and he is using 016...
recently my fren also found that the quality of the phone call drops... noise and also hard to get thru...
so i hope that the telco fix this asap...

have any of you guy seen the silicon cover for G900 in KL? I saw it here in SG for $15.

this is most probably a network problem. lately around dsara and pj area i have been getting a lot of network busy errors - cant dial in or out (maxis).

hmm i haven encounter any problem after i buy the phone without burning my battery.hahaha but i kinda a feel is abit delay after press the application and i cant press back it auto shut off the program.u need to task manager it. lol other than that is ok

this phones is awesome go get one.... actually is kinda of the whole package just that it does not have xenon flash. got wifi got good mp3 player good camera. lol is worth it man...

yes yes! I forgotten to mention about tat too. I often receive delay sms. I'm using 012 and my signal over here is full. Gosh, I like this phone but as a phone it doesn't serve it's purpose well. I can say that every sms is delayed, the diff is it's delay long or short. But I'm sure it's delayed.

got delay mer? me also maxis user ler. me postpaid user but dont think having this problem with my G900. msg receving fast ler. haaha forget to mention i am a sms freak hahaha

sms delay never happen to me. i think you need to check your sim card, or either its your area problem...

overall tis fon is not bad.

hmm cos as u can say PAVILLION mar they sell ori and pavillion sure sell more expensive de la. In lowyat ori only cost about RM1850. and 1500-1600 is AP sets. where warrenty by shop not from sony. And student like me cant afford Ori but i get a good deal RM1500 phone+2gb memory card + bluetooth headset(i think come with the phone)

i dun think is sim card problem lar I use my w810i oso no problem. And my area is full signal. But short delay I still ok, dun give me long delay, really frustrating. Anyway to use delivery report with diff sound without install third party software? Guess not. Sigh.

i manage to download the Google Mobile Map yesterday. i've been using Google Earth for a while now. GMM is almost like GE btu on a smaller screen. 1 thing i like about GE is the satellite image. Though its not 3D here in SG, i still manage to recognise some of the building that i am heading to. downside is GMM need internet connection to work. So unless you got Wifi or data unlimited 3G, i don't think this is useful on the move. Otherwise, plan your journey ahead.

Almost a month now since i got the G900. I like the phone but there are something tat i wish was better. d phone hang on me about 3-4x now. most of the time, when i try opening some menu. at time it take a longer time to open, a few time nothing happen and i have to reset.

some function in the non-Symbian SE phone are missing or work differently. This is probably jus tme cuz i've been using SE for the past 7 years so i am used to the SE way around the menu.

I am still looking for ways to change the menu icon...

Here is my question for this superb phone :
Is it the latest firmware support chinese input?
G900's camera can flash or just light ?

1. Not sure boh cause now the latest firmware is not available for asian G900 yet. However, I'm not sure about SE releases the firmware to asian G900 adi.

2. This one can sure for you. It's not the kind like k800i where it's a xenon flash. G900 one is consider light (can work as torch) but it works like flash while capturing photos. However, when you turn on flash mode, the flash will light up when you focusing the camera. One thing sure really mind you, the flash of G900 is extremely sucks, first, it's not strong enuff. Second, the placing of the LED is not suitable, because the LED is at the right side of the len, so when you take picture with flash, you'll see a white light at the left of your picture. like this,

Manage to update my G900 software. I got the following now:

Phone: 1203-6566 R9M003
Bluetooth: 1200-5567 R1F02
PDA: 1203-8784 R6J825
CDA: 1213-2204 R2A

Mine is Singapore version, so those who have the SG version you can try to update now. Please be aware that the entire process take a good 2 hours. First you gotta back-up then start the update download then the update installation.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BACK-UP YOUR ENTIRE PHONE. EVERYTHING... EVERYTHING WILL BE WIPE OUT. YOU GOTTA RESTORE YOUR OLD SETTING, CONTACT, SMS etc AFTER THE SOFTWARE UPDATE...!!!

How to check whether it's Singapore version? Which numbers indicator them? I think mine is Singapore version but I'm not sure. So the language pack for Chinese for this firmware out adi? And do you find any different after updating it?

For the camera flash, it applies to in door with average lightning too. However, the photo is not with me now. U can avoid that if you take picture vertically.

i recognise mine as SG localized when i start the update service. After detecting the phone, you'll see a big banner that say sumthing-sumthing Singapore.

Chinese language... eh... dunno la... if u refer to the SE website, chinese language is not listed yet but the language file is for the older PDA/Organiser software version. You might wanna check back at SE website later to see if there is any update.

So you didn't use chinese language is it? it's very important for me ^^. If the language pack is not available, hit me till die oso I wont install

lol theme dont need to intsall de.... u need to go some website to get it. I got mine from mobile88.com lol. not all is free la but u just put in to ur phone than open that fild can liao

i hv d same prob wif u. i dunno how to get my downloaded theme to my phone via the USB. what i did is to send the theme to my phone via bluetooth. the theme will first go to SMS inbox. you install from there.

come to think of it.... gotta figure out how to do it via USB. lemme experiment this weekend.

to share wif every1 a weird little issue i had recently. I updated my software and my media player font go crazy. when i play mp3, the title, artist, album and timing are all looking like New Time Roman with no space between words.... I was like WTF.

last nite after i backup the phone... u know... on off on off... the font goes back OK. i was like WTF...!!! but i like this last WTF cuz all font look nice again.

dude... your comparison is lame la... G900 dun hv HSDPA. its oni plain UMTS. G900 oso have wirelss & camera but lack GPS.

lol.... G900 no HSPDA. N82 wins in every aspect compare to G900 except G900 has touchscreen and slimmer lighter. N82 has better camera and xenon flash, GPS, and faster processor (but dunno which one faster), n82 oso has more quality application and games. (becoz of symbian v3)

And G900 is not exactly 2.4inches, it's about 2.3 ++ only.

This ori include Bluetooth headset? Where can get this price? I've checked from SE 1Utama and they are selling at RM1799 with Bluetooth Headset. Wonder why there is so much price difference.

RM1799 is too expensive I think. You can buy ori set from thorus at RM1560 only. Lot of sellers in LYN selling cheap price

when i bought mine, it come with the package. if you dun 1, den u gotta cut a deal with the shop to trade-in. Big sticker on the box say teh BT headset is worth RM178...!!! but i thik RM178 if u buy the entire BR package seperately that comes with charger and nice box and pages of manual, cable tie and some sticker on the box as well.
