yeah man. it sucks i bought mine with the bluetooth headset. so nice to be high tech finally, and then i lost it. :'( so sad man. hahahah. but luckily my bro in law gave me his old one. also SE ori. the one that loops around your ear. the mic ends up sitting below your ear lobe one. i think its ok. for those who wanna get it. i dont really recommend it though. the voice commands dont work well. im guessing its because of the mic locasi.

but overall decent. i like it cause i dont have to put the speaker into my ear. dunno if you know what i mean. with that. hahah. just a heads up on bluetooth headsets thats all.

Guys, can G900i create folder to store smses?

been using this phone for a week and this is my review:

Plus :

1. User friendly - easy to sms except when to insert symbols such as @, !, ?...
2. Sticky Note - most useful
3. Got everything that i need - wifi, 3G...


Minus :

1. Wifi Internet connection seems to be disconnected every now and then
2. Battery life is very short - a couple of times drained out completely when i wake up
3. hanged a couple of times

Hopefully i can download a couple of programs which is more easier for me such as opera mobile (similar to computer version).. other thing now it cannot be detected by my laptop...why?


thats my review for now. Overall i like this phone very much maybe a couple of tune up will make my life better

Sorry just got back from open houses.

i got an ori unit. what i meant was, i noticed the battery will completely drained out in the morning when i wake up. normally i would surfed before i sleep.

opera mini does come with phone already but i would prefer if the browser if more looking similar what we have in computer. I've seen in my friend's phone.

Hahahaha yeah cause I don't see much photos here while most are complaining about it so maybe some photos would be nice.

It's AP. Bought it a few weeks ago at RM1250. Came with a 2GB card but it isn't enough for me. Hahahaha. Should get a 4 or 8GB one.

the contact that you sent previously cannot be deleted, and it will replace by new contact..
and for the 'paste number' i cannot get what you mean..

the phone comes with opera mini meh? i dont think so. mine comes with a standard type opera. opera 8.65
opera mini is quite different. plus its not so resource demanding.
why you wanna have the same look as on the comp. theres a difference between 15"++ screen and 2"+ screen.
just set it to landscape mode i guess.

what do you mean contact inside sms? like when you forward an sms? when you forward something you can also edit the sms to be forwarded. if thats what you mean




paste number is when you copy a number from within an sms message. there is a copy option under 'more' i think. you gotta highlight the text. click more. then then editing. then there is a copy option.

wifi internet connection seems to be disconnected from time to time. cannot last more than 1 min. reconnecting will take a couple of tries. have u guys facing the same? i think my wifi not 100% fine.thinking of sending it back for replacement.

i use opera very fast response, but opera mini slow response(means after i click a link, it take about 3-4 sec to start loading)

if i'm surfing using the laptop n hp simultaneously, the laptop connection's ok but hp will always be disconnected.

opera mini is not come with phone, you need to install it..come with phone is opera..

if its like that then its probably your wifi. how is the signal strength displayed on the phone? mine sometimes 2 out of 4 bars still have no connection problems. i think it probably is your phone. try to update your firmware and see if the problem persists.

also....my g900 came with opera 8.65

Mine doesn't come with Opera. >.< I downloaded them myself but no problem with WiFi.

hey you know when taking fotos right. i noticed that we cannot do any cool stuff like add frames or anything when taking photos. but the frames are installed on my phone.

like when you 'enable wifi' right. then the option comes up and you have to click 'scan' then it lists all the wifi networks in your area. they also have the strength bar there.

the tiang talipon one is your reception to maxis or whatever. that can be zero pun should be able to connect wifi.
if that is red and no colour then i think there is something wrong with your phone dude.

No, I think the tiang telephone he's talking about is the wifi connection icon...it's red when you're connected a wifi network, gray when you're not. for me, i can connect to a website just fine. after that, if i'm idle for about a few minutes, then the tiang telepon will turn gray...but no problem! when i want to browse to a new webpage, the tiang telepon will turn red again, so it reconnects to the wifi network automatically when u come out of idle.

ohhhh that tiang talipon. hahah. yeah. sorry.

yeah gray is normal when it is activated but not being used. and when it connects, it searches for wifi's to connect to. i use work and home so it searches in accordance to priority of your saved connections.

if the tiang talipon is red, and there is the blinking globe next to it. should be working fine.

Yes no problems there,

the phone is initially set to use 3g and GPRS. i think. if you want to JUST use gprs or JUST use 3G, you will have to set it under mobile settings.

go to:

settings>> connectivity >> mobile networks >> more>> GSM/3g Networks.

for me, the wifi icon will stay red if i connected to wifi, and when nothing to load, the earth icon will not blink...when i surf, the earth icon will start blinking..

yeah... i can connect to wifi without any problems.. and yeah... no need to set anything actually.. just turn off yr wifi and start surfing.. it will surf using 3G service.. but IT"S VERY EXPENSIVE!!!

now i know why. my phone is the one!!

the tiang talipon will turn red for less than a minute then suddenly will turn gray even if i'm still surfing. Now even worse-it cannot even detect a single network "no network found".

i dont know when it comes to hp my luck will run dry very fast. my story:

1. CSL M50 phone - got stolen ... this is a nice phone
2. HTC P3400i - hate so much...sold less than a month
3. SE P1i - Hard fall - repair costing >RM350.00 (trade in with SE G900)
4. SE G900 - Faulty

for the respond time, for sure its slower than normal phone, but still acceptable for me...

erm well.. since this is a OS based phone.. so u cant really compare with those normal phones... it will be slower when u first open the application.. but if the applications are running in the memory.. it will be alot faster in opening the next time... it's just like computer.. startup/minimizing/maximazing...

BTW.. one thing i dun like abt dis phone is the message part.. it will blink a few times before u get to read the new sms..

yeah, quite slow for messaging..hope new firmware will improve it..

opening up a new application is pretty slow. sometimes even the messaging. so you gotta really be patient until you get used to it.

sometimes it feels like the phone is stuck. gotta wait a while till it loads. if you are an sms freak. i think you should get a normal phone. you might be a bit annoyed.

Err.. good question to ask indeed Well.. i think the best way to know is to wait for those really enthusiastic of this phone who informs everyone abt the new update... else, u can do update once a month to see if there's any new update?



Ah well.. I wonder if there's any way to save all the sms i want.. last time I could use MyPhoneExplorer to save sms.. but now cant anymore since MyPhoneExplorer does not support smart phones

i think u r rite. last time i owned nokia 3010? and Nokia 5500? very reliable. I still have those. u store somewhere, u forgot but at the end of the u found it, switch it on still working very fine up until now. Whenever my hp warded, these come to the rescue...
