The power adapter works just like a molex, however, you will require the Y molex, its not a normal molex, it converts the adapter from 5V to 12V.

Yes you can use other fans and CCFL on it too.

that depends on your fan power consumption. Though im sure it wont have an trouble handling 5-6 fans.

The prolink modem in the picture just a display to show how the cooling devices work. For some of the router modem overheat needed.

is that power adapter for ext HDD? can i use it to cool down my ext HDD (without casing) and use the same power supply?

yupe you can use it for your ext HDD

Just connect to a longer wire from the power supply from the PC. DIY the socket.

So no need seperate power adapter.
