I don't think intergrated cards have dedicated memory (does it?), which TF2 requires.

erm, i got a technical question to ask you guys...

When you play TF2, what is the CPU usage like? Particularly for dual core systems. Cos when i play, hl2.exe uses up 50% of cpu time (100% of one core), all the time. There's no lag at all, so i don't see why it should max out the processor like that.

When i alt+tab to check the cpu usage, hl2.exe drops to 0%. So the CPU only maxes out when the game window is active.
Is this normal for you guys too? Thanks...

i can't log in since yesterday

The two reasons why this happens are that Source games are generally CPU-intensive while not fully supporting multithreading, so it's normal to see one core out of a multi-core array being heavily taxed instead of all two/three/four cores being worked equally.

Oh my, tons of update on TF2 after I finally get back my PC after 3 months. Notice there is some hidden weapon for each class (from the main menu)?? How do I unlock them ??

Only the medic weapons are released so far. The other classes haven't been updated yet.
You have to get the weapons by getting achivements

we need someone to make a dedicated medic achievement server so everyone can contribute to get medic achievements.

holy crap,i finally managed to connect to steam after all these days

i never got the chance to play TF2 since my exam finished

man. i played back orange box after got me new gc. it was good playin it on 70 fps++.

Yeah I just got my Orange Box today.
Still at the same RM179 price. Sad haha.
Anyway I jsut finished Portal's normal storyline.

Isnt that normal? I know CoD4 kill per death ratio is always very low

Yeah some random fire from an SMG can kill a person...No medic, no dispenser, no health packs. BTW that doesn't mean you last very long in TF2. SOmetimes against really good players you just fall.

Dude TF2 is a game that will leave you paranoid! When you play the game(after a few times) you will be looking behind again and again...afraid someone might stab your back...

Great, I've been stuck at this Steam login window again for the past 10 minutes or so. Steam has been freezing like this for no apparently reason since I've been running it yesterday. This means I can't play anything on Steam, which is an utter bummer.

Will try reinstalling in a shorty.

I can connect...but ping in game higher than usual...could it be something to do with the update?

i just tested it around 7am this morning,managed to connect to steam in mere seconds.

i guess its due to school holidays the whole bandwidth got affected.

Looks like isn't connection related. Someone hacked my account and changed the password. Now i can't access my account. Argh!!!!

There is no way one can steal your password unless you unsuspectingly give it away.

I'll say it's even impossible if you're only using the password for logins into Steam, especially when you set logins to remember your password. Unless, that is, you're using Steam in a public place.

Hmmm Usually this error message means your system and the game can't agree on something. Yes the dreaded update drivers. So make sure you've got updated drivers for your devices, this includes wireless keboard, GC, etc. I dont think its because of steam if you can get through the verification when you first launch the game.

My GC driver is the latest. Not sure what caused this.

Did you upgrade you graphic card and didn't not completely remove registry & drive of your old graphic card? Ati GC is dumb like that, I get the OS pool out of memory and gets crash when playing HL2, TF2.. and also opther games pretty f-up.

Try this though first, see if it helps.
