For those who had been using vPOST, please guide me.


I would like to try out vPOSTAsia service. So I signed up and get my PIN. Then I go to Amazon to buy things.

I already had account with Amazon. The address is Malaysia and payment method is Credit Card.

So I key-in my name, my PIN and my new address given by vPOSTAsia.

Now I am stuck in payment method. Which one should I choose?

1. Credit Card
2. Amazon.com Store Card
3. Bank Account
4. Check or Money Order

If I using Credit Card, it definitely not match to new address.

Amazon only checks your billing address...Since your shipping address is the vpostasia address......it doesnt matter.....Amazon will ships it to the US address and bills ur Msia address...

That's mean I can use my Credit Card?

Do I need to inform vPOSTAsia after that?

Yes u can use ur CC......vpostasia will send invoice to ur acc once they receive the item...provided they know which item is urs....(make sure ur shipping address in Amazon consists of your name n vpost number as per what vpostasia gave u...

you can pay amazon via credit card and forward the transaction detail to vpostasia. they take some time to deliver your goods, good luck

Steps of using VPost. Based on my experience 1 year + and 10+ shipments

1. Buy using Amazon as usual and ship it to VPost account.
2. Scan the Amazon Invoice and mail to Vpost. So that they know this item/s is/are arriving.
3. Once Arrive at Vpost, they will inform you and then make payment to Vpost for shipping fee.
4. Item/s will arrive at your doorsteps.

From my erxperience it should arrive in KL in 2 - 3 weeks time.

Need to scan? I usually just forward the email by Amazon to them.

I scanned it since I usually do some modification to the invoice price. As Vpost use EMS post, any package over 500 will be subjected to our local Malaysian tax.

1. Under Amazon, choose standard shipping is it?
2. Under VPOSTAsia, cannot choose faster shipping is it?

1. Amazon you can choose anything but the benefit for using Vpost is that you can utilise Amazon's free shipping deals.

2. I think its only EMS. No other choice. Its alright though, items from the States will take 2-3 weeks to reach you.

1. I always choose the free shipping if possible
2. There are no faster shipping method in VPost. Only the EMS post which so far I havent encounter a missing package.

Can I just forward email from Amazon to vPOSTAsia and tell them to adjust the original amount to below RM500?

You can try. Its just my policy to do things myself rather than expect ppl to do it. Sometimes VPost might overlook your requirement due to the volumes of package they receive daily.

if u dont mind to wait for 2-3 weeks like Corez/Zio said , it is fine to use vpost asia for Malaysia
but after 3 times with them , i was totally pissed
1) no reply for email
2) even when parcel arrived , no email notification to let u know when u should pay
3) 10-20 USD saving onli ( i usually buy 10 BD shipping abt 70 USD but arrived in 3 days time )
4) if u have more than 1 parcel , combining will be cheaper but chances r slim becoz they never listen
5) phone number is US office , no one is picking it up ( taking consideration of the local time in US )

1) So far for me I will get a reply from them at least tomorrow due to time difference. The e mail I usually use is enq_malaysia@vpostasia.com
2) That is right sometime they do not alert you via e mail on the arrival of parcel. For me I usually log in the website daily when I have pending package from them.
3) Shipping is not cheap and takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. Thats why I only order stuff that Amazon does not ship directly to Malaysia like toys, game stuff and some apparel. For BD's better use the direct ship from Amazon. If I'm not mistaken, Vpost is there to help us in getting stuff from US that does not ship direct to Malaysia like for example from NEwegg.com
4) I already e mail them on this b4 and they mentioned they will not combine packages.
5) Never try calling them b4 because so far all my e mail has been answered albeit 1 day later

Whilst their service is not really outstanding there are some good practice by them. For example they have encounter problems in accepting credit card payment before. Due to not our fault the even ship all my goods FOC while repairing their payment website.

Well, for BDs, its best to go direct. But there are items on Amazon that doesnt ship to this part of the world. Electronics and games for example.

It takes them 3 working days to send you an email on what to pay when the parcel arrives. Then it takes them up to 7 working days to prepare and ship you the parcel after payment.

Is vpost service available in malaysia is only limited to websites in US? Can we buy stuffs from other countries such as japan?
Currently there are lots of goodies in amazon.co.jp that i want to get my hand onto. hehe
