thanks for the info Reuben. btw during the trial, my torrent speed is normal again. it's slow, but it is the error on my part, choosing a low seed/peer ratio torrent. it is still satisfying though. coz i can see how my torrents are downloading unlike using torrentflux.

still evaluating other LYN vpn provider, but yours will be at top of my list. maybe at the end of the month i will become one of your customers.

Test out the blhvpn. A huge increase of speed in utorrent ~ 300% from using normal Streamyx line.

However, i find it difficult when i surf the net as it is soo damn slow to load a page especially loading java. Well knowning this vpn is meant for p2p service only. So i switch off the vpn whenever i surf the net.

1 question here : Can i do it both simultaneously ? meaning to say i download using bolehvpn and surfing using nornal streamyx connection ? Any advise ?

Soundstream: as I replied to you in my e-mail, our default configuration of BolehVPN where you do NOT set the proxy in your firefox, will give you your regular Streamyx speed when surfing.

Also remember if you have maxed out your connection, especially your upload on p2p, you can of course expect slow down in your other activities due to saturation of your line which is unrelated to VPN.

-> Meaning to say over the IE LAN setting. i no need to set anything right (eg, 10.10.10.1 port 808 ? Leave it like as default setting?

Thanks. Initially i put all the ip/port but i found it slow then i unchcked the LAN setting box again so i thought it will auto back to previous default. But it didn't as it still searching the proxy 10.10xxx..

hMMMm..probally i guess i should delete/blank it the proxy i typed instead unchecked it... (will try that again)

No it does not and is not recommended for gaming purposes as games are NOT throttled by TM nor does a VPN accelerate it. We do setup dedicated servers for this but this is a separate service.

Does your vpn provide total anonymity? I'm based in Singapore and I want to use p2p and download stuff but I'm scared of the government's spying. Can you protect my surfing information from the ISP analysis?
Does your VPN improve surfing, gaming as well as p2p?

There are two risks in an unsecured connection in p2p or downloads

1) ISP side (the ISP analyzes data that flows through them and identifies pirated material)
2) Peer side (the peer pretends to be an actual seeder but actually logs your IP and takes you down as a potential infringer). This isn't 100% accurate and is often done unethically with even infringement notices being sent to a PRINTER or elderly grandma lol but nevertheless still poses a risk.

ISP Side

On the ISP side, yes it will since it encrypts the data using 128 bit SSL keys which are similar to credit card security though of course this is not military grade though makes it unattractive enough for Governments, ISPs to try to crack it. There's just simply much easier fish to look at unless you happen to be spreading governmental or military secrets .

Peer Side

On the end side, your real IP is concealed from anyone connecting to you and if there's any issue, it will be raised with us first. We do not release customer details but we do in rare circumstances send notices to the end user if we do get repeated infringement notices without revealing your identity to the complainant.

If you pair our VPN up with our private tracker service which we provide to some users (no extra charge it's just an added service), then you are quite safe.

Gaming/Surfing

It does not improve surfing or gaming as what we do is merely encrypt your data making ISPs unable to analyze your data. This actually has some overhead and therefore does not work too well on latency specific applications. For P2P or general surfing to INTERNATIONAL sites, it's fine .
