Nope it's like a gateway/proxy where you pass your data through our server and it comes automatically to your computer. The difference is that we encrypt the data along the route.

No files are stored on the server. They're just immediately forwarded to you.

Hey Jackal, nope it does not improve latency. As far as I know XBox Live does not use any p2p system (correct me if I'm wrong) and therefore tunnelling through the VPN will have no effect.

A VPN is a virtual private network. The explanation of what is VPN is kinda long winded so you can check out the wikipedia entry but all you need to know is that the VPN secures your connection by encrypting it and passing it through our server that handles all the encryption and decryption.

This has an effect of making ISP's throttling devices unable to detect the sort of data that is passing through and therefore are unable to throttle it.

I've just upgraded my BolehVPN account from 7-days (trial) to 30-days!

I'm absofcukinglutely happy with the speeds! Well, at least for most of the torrents. There's that 1 time I even got 100kB/s on a download and it wasn't the Ubuntu test file. Overall, it's been an excellent experience and I hope it stays that way - as long as I'm on them. LOL!
