Announcement of Network BolehVPN Server Status Page.

Those who have been monitoring and checking the status page, please do not be alarmed over the flatlines of some of the servers. There seems to be a connectivity problem from one of the local data centers which is hosting our servers monitoring system to our VPN servers which resulted in our monitoring system to show a flatline even though there is no problem with any of the servers. We are not sure why TM is again screwing up their own data center routing.

All servers are in normal operational mode.

can i use this VPN for my internet connection?
i mean not for torrenting..
but for my everyday usage (put vpn login at router)

Sure you can but the only reason to do so is to encrypt your connection and mask your IP.
It might give you a different route that may have a lower latency but as routing is out of our control, we aren't able to give any guarantees on this. Using a VPN does not automatically mean a speed up in everything you do and in most cases results in slower speeds due to the added encryption. It only works for p2p well because of the throttling in place by ISPs.

If your router has the VPN function and supports OpenVPN yeap it can but most routers don't have this function.

Since we offer both fully routed and proxied solutions together at no extra cost, you can pick and choose which you want. Fully routed achieves the same effect as putting at your router though it does prevent you from sharing it with your entire home/office.

Last night there was a Streamyx issue that affected connectivity nationwide which lasted a few hours. This seems to have been fixed and service should be back to normal.

can u teach me how to setup openvpn using my proxy ip cos i found a malaysia proxy ip that have very good ping which i want to use for online gaming instead of the lousy ip i been getting from streamyx....

If you do not have control of the server you can't set up openvpn on it. Might want to look into Sockscap and Permeo products though I haven't touched them for a long time. It has to be a socks proxy though and not a http proxy for it to work.
