don't place your laptop on a soft surface. always place it on a hard flat surface for air circulation

but my laptop does have little air breather for the fan holes...(note compaq V3243AU) how can withstand such heat?

the surface under your laptop needs the transfer heat as well. keeping your under surface hot will increase your laptop temperature tremendously.

get a pad with an aluminium surface and some fans. that would be good.
