well screen sizes depends on where you want to put your tv...if you're putting a 46" in a 8' x 10' room, it would be an overkill but if you put it in the living room or hall than it's a very nice setup...

Wah rugi lah, i bought V Series for RM3499, expensive than D Series, suppose D series is expensive than V right?
Yeah D original price when it first came out was 4499...then went down to 3999....I'm pretty lucky as I got it when they are selling it to clear their stock...
They say sony is not selling the D series because it's too good for it's price...

Hmmm....32" would be good enough....I think...but then again it'll depends on your setup...
For me I'm not that far from the screen...only have a small table (to put my pop corn and my controller and my feet between the TV any our sofa...so 32 is enough for me...Not sure about my room size tho...but it's about 8x10 maybe...tho I'm only using like 2/3 of the room with my setup....

For your room size, 32" will be enough...here's my gaming and pc setup

KLV-32D300A and Dell SP2208WFP. Now I'm saving for Sony HT 5.2 to complete the setup. My gaming and PC room is only 8' x 10'.

. If you really got the budget for KLV-40W400A then go for it as it has FullHD, 10bit Panel, new Bravia 2 engine, 1080p/24p, 30,000:1 dynamic contrast and many more. Buy a SONY for sure you won't be disappointed. To get the most of your LCD, you must do a bit of calibration from the factory setup.

i've just got a 42pfl9532. no regrets so far, i've tried watching dvds and it looks very nice. but i got the complementary ambisound player which bumps up dvd to 108op. watched some of the series i dloaded, also looks good, no complaints.
have not tried on my ps2 yet, and dun have ps3 or HD/BD movies to compare against. and also no astro yet, so cannot test.
if u ask me, dun go fo rthe 74XX series. if u watch movies, u can see the jerk and its not that sharp compared to the newer model. my 2 cents. g'luck

Hi guys, I'm looking at 1080p LCD / Plasma panels. Is the Philips any good? I saw in the papers that they are having promo.
42PFL9532/98 - RM 12,999 (out of my league I think)
47PFL7422/98 - RM 7999
42PFL7432/98 - RM 6499
What's the difference between the 1st and 3rd Philips 42" model?
Any comments on other similar Toshiba / Sharp and Sony models? I've seen Sony high end models (1080p capable) being very expensive.
Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried to view it in the shop but I too found that fast scenes are a little jerky. Thought it was something to do witht he source but since you mentioned it, it may be the panel... Would a 100Hz panel solve this?
Ummm, 100Hz + 1080p is bloody expensive. The more I read, the more I kena racun !
Anyway, the Sony KLV-40W400A specs look interesting. Price is not bad too...

if u're talking about the lower model, yes it was quite jerky when they were demo'ing saving private ryan. coz i was looking at the 52 inch one, but the jerkiness was unbearable. my wife also agreed. but when tried the higher model, it definetely has a difference. and the 100hz is very nice
pair it with a player that can upscale to 1080p, and u wont regret it. the ambilight takes a little getting used to. but either way no regrets man.

go for it.....

if u're going for xbox/ps3, dvd/hd/bd, then dun think, just buy!!!

Hey guys, I've shopping around for a 32" HDTV for gaming purposes, budget is 2-4k.
So need to know a few things, hopefully someone here can help out: -
- Read about the new Bravia W-series on the front page. Is the 32" W-series launching here?
- There are replacements coming for the Bravia S- and V- series (400). Anyone know what's the difference between them and the current 300 models?
- Bravia aside, what does everyone think of the Panasonic 32LX700MK?
Thanks in advance
