Guys, i encounter a strange problem in my Windows Vista recently. I bought a new dell laptop and it comes with Windows Vista Home Primeum.

The problem is, when i edit a word document and open the same document the very next day, it will shown the original unedited version.

This is not once or twice. Every single day it's happening. I did save a back up copy in my pen drive n it seems ok. But the copy in my hard disk will roll back to original version.

Do anyone encounter this problem before?

err, do you "save" your document?
roy_zu
Yup, i'm using Microsoft Office 2007... But i use the same installation package in my previous Windows XP and no problem at all...

Yes, i do save my document... I'll close the document once saved and open back again.. Will be n problem. But the next the it will show the older version. I don't understand how this can be happen...

I can't be everytime rename the document and save as a new file rite?
adriankhoo153
Hmm, this is strange.. Maybe a corrupted doc or something? Or perhaps a read only file.

Hi everyone,

Not sure whether is this the right place to ask, but where can I get Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 Retail Pack in Malaysia?
linkinstreet
Lowyat?
lytros
Ok, which shop exactly? I still see the older retail pack witout sp1. Is there a local online shop I can refer too?
Btw, I'm seeing USA online shops selling Vista Ultimate SP1 Retail for US$320 which is about RM1025. Currently from the Lowyat price lists I've seen it's about RM1500. Looking for the price which is comparable to US price. Thanks.
linkinstreet
I don't think they have the new slipstreamed SP1 batch yet.

If you're happy with SP1, you can remove uninstall information to save lots of spaces, to do so, follow these:

QUOTE
1 - Click START -> Run. Type vsp1cln (make sure you have elevated privileges)
2 - when the tool started, press Y key on the keyboard to start
3 - taadaaa~~~ you have extra precious spaces! rclxm9.gif

Waa..can get more space more kah?..
Ok...will try it..lets see what happen hmm.gif
anyway..10q FYI..

Microsoft May 2008 Patch Tuesday was released at 10am PST 13 May (1am 14 May MYT).

No updates for WinVista SP1 this round except for the usual monthly malicious software removal tool.

However, if you have Office 2007, there are 3 critical/security updates released.

just this 1 ? any driver need to update to increase the performance of vista
FarCry3r
you can always update if there's any newer driver for your system, if it isn't any, there's no need to update them, just install SP1...

Ummm maybe when you installed the game you're supposed to put the game on " Run as Administrator " ? Or right click the Icon>Properties>Compatibility>Run as Administrator ..?
Not sure though, all my online games seem to work smile.gif

You know what?
My advice is to NOT intsall Vista at this time unless Service Pack 2 comes in.
Vista has a lot of bugs.

Oi - noob, sorry to say what bugs are you mentioning? Don't claim something that you don't even know.
If you do not want to use Vista - then don't. Don't tell people about bugs. Bugs exists even you are not using Vista.
Don't post crap just to increase your post count.

Vista after service pack 1 fixes a lot of "bugs" and enchanced the system than the previous RTM release.
Even without service pack 1 - the update and roll ups is enough to maintain the system stability; but of course the service pack is recommended.
