You can create your own vista sp1 installation dvd as long you have the vista dvd and the standalone installer.

afaik SP1 is often clash with the current software for some ppl... so maybe installing SP1 after install a fresh copy of vista is a good move...

wat kind of softwares are u talking about?
ham_revilo

normal software la... like msn, firefox, adobe, office and so on....
i read it some where in the papers saying if u upgrade SP1 from normal vista there may have a slight conflict with the current software for some ppl only... so not all... but if u have a fresh copy of vista and upgrade it to SP1 then it will be a diff story...

to future-sp1-user :
SP1 offline installation contain all security patch that made before SP1.
means, after u install fresh vista, u can install sp1 directly (without using WU).

yes is out edi... and afaik its for all vista user so that include business...
try using windows update to check whether u can update to SP1 or not.... if cant then i think u need to update using the standalone...
btw, my advise is stick to windows update rather than the standalone...

i just format my pc from vista business to vista ultimate, both are 32bit. why ultimate consume so much spaces.
the partition i used for OS is 20GB. i install business only 11GB++, but ultimate is 18GB+.
i check what are the files that consume so much space and its ultimate hidden system files.
for anyone who have/are using ultimate 32bit, share your info/experience pls.
(correct me if i'm wrong)
thx

how lagging are u talking about?? just a short lag which affect only the IE or whole pc??
anyway i have one .exe files that will cause my oc to lag when i just click on it only... i mean a single click.... then my whole pc will go lagging for a few minute before it goes back into normal... then have to delete it and dl another version only can use... but apparently that doesnt happen before i have SP1...
btw, my IE is working fine... so i maybe it is something else...

Wow finally the SP 1 is available for my comp's language pack. I install it via windows update. Now my computer operate faster than before, I means, open up new folder and copy, as well as internet explorer. Quite happy with it. Also I notice my Windows performance score are better than before. The gaming & graphic one from 4.6 to 4.8, now I'm happy with this update~~
