shocking.gif Whoa are they Taiwanese? Popular band?

I never give enough attention to the Chinese rock scenes but this is really good! Killing vocals, damn brutal!
blacktrix
They even made it to Ozzfest 07, so yeah....... they are pretty big.
The Er-Wu part in the middle just........ BRUTAL!!!!!!!
Bassix
.... the erhu is probably just for show. Didn't make a sound. tongue.gif

Oh and TS: i don't play cello. And have only touched a double bass once tongue.gif
quarantined
I couldn't hear it in the middle but it's pretty apparent in the end. Any recommended albums from them?

BTW I do want to learn violin soon ...after I get myself a keyboard.
blacktrix
Get Pandemonium, which is their best of album......
Alot of their songs feature the Er-Eu quite prominently actually.
Everdying

Classical and Metal? Check out some of Children of Bodom's earlier works. You'll find alot of their solos are classically inspired......
PetroToxin
Classical and Metal are similar in terms of their complex rhythm, harmony and melody.
Compared to mainstream pop and hip hop, classical and metal requires a far better musical ear to appreciate.

Don't really listen to rock/metal any more these days...
For strings, I really like Brahms Violin Concerto. Especially the second movement.

Actually I learned vibrato in the very early stage, my teacher tought me a very useful way of doing it, it's the finger join excercise to "free up" the joins (hard to describe in words, though). Quite easy, i'll say, due to the method. My vibrato is the finger join way, which is the most traditional way. Have heard people talking about other way but I haven't really seen it in person. hmm.gif

Just wondering you guys/gals who play the violin, is that your primary instrument? I pickup violin quite late but my primary instrument is piano anyway.
onelove89
piano main. =) 2nd main instru = violin, then switch to viola.
crabjim
I learned from the internet that there were 2 types of vibrato, the wrist/hand vibrato and arm vibrato. I can't practise vibrato yet until i can get perfect intonation on my 1st postion.
