tats really a good website.i has been there since i own my first moto L7 few yeas ago,i even mod my L7 's sound become better than those Walkman phone at tat time i have to say motorola 's phone sounds the best among all maker

so i suspect your L7 also loaded with iTunes lor?? right??

yup. modmymoto roxx!!! i modded my rokr e2 and it became faster, higher volume and tones of new application.......
can even play SNES games wakkakakakaka......
cant wait to mod my rokr e8...

after listening to continuous music for god knows how long, i've discovered sumthin that may be helpful for u guys....
here's sum tips on playing with da sound settings....
-3d stereo= u MUST set it to full when listening to vocal songs or songs that have very little background sounds....when only the vocalist's voice
is loud.....
effect= enhance da background sounds and also adds amazing echo effect to the main vocal.......like live performance...hehehehe
-however, when listening to songs that has many instruments involved, such as rock, metal, blablabla..... u know...loud guitar sound.....
u MUST turn 3d stereo OFF.....or else the instruments sound will really overpower the vocalist's voice.....difficult to hear the vocals....
-bass boost= i seldom use lah...hehe obviously for hip-hop songs la...
-for other equalisers.....nothin to say lah coz all pretty much da same...
personally i juzz like the vocal boost, treble boost and classical.....

I never use 3d except Bass to 7.Very loud..I love it!!!

but....if you want that music to sound like u're in planet hollywood listening to live performance, use 3d stereo full blast....hahaha
hohoho i recommend listening to all Fergie's music (or any other songs that has strong vocals....)using 3d stereo......u'll be amazed!!!!!

i used it for calling and sms.. sometimes as thumbdrive.. that's it.. lol.. cos i no need music with me, if driving, got radio.. if working in front pc, prefer quiet.. but if for music, i wont play it from e8, i will sync with my DC800 gateway to my hi-fi..


orange is jay chou edition, normal one is red.. black HD one not out yet i guess.. S9 sound ok or on par with handsfree.. the only good thing is wireless and light..

Sound isn't that good compare with my SuperFi.I kinda having a tiny prob with the phone.Now using the new one.Ol one wan sell for RM 800.Now I pump all my full album into my phone.

I know.BT sounds kinda smooth when I'm runnign.Wind noise also can be heard.I suggest buy the Motorola Pendant bluetooth.Use your own earphones.btw I love the S9.but my Bro took it from me...I'm thinking of w8ing for S9 HD.High Definition rawks!

this phone is top on my list but then after reading several reviews on E8, many indicate the rather low maximum volume it can play..

im quite concerned as i really love listening to music loudly(with headphones)...Is it really low?
compared to ipod, which has loudest playback in headphones? coz if they are of equal loudness, ill buy e8 for sure, if not...waaaa...i gotta wait for a good music phone then to come...thank you...

and yeah one thing else, can u set mp3 as your message alert? \

1. loudness? perhaps u can ask the rest cos i seldom listen music via headphone/headset.. i guess should be alright.. why dont u try it at phone shop yourself?
2. sure u can set mp3 as caller ringtone and sms ringtone..

why u compare the GOOD ( E8 ) and the BAD ( Ipod )

have u ever try Samsung Mp3 players? when u free..got BEST DENKI in KLCC , bring ur own headphones..hehe..and test it out..YOU WILL BE AMAZED.

but i did tested my e8 with ipod touch..ipod touch is LOUDER but lack of quality..E8 is just slightly lil bit softer then Ipod but u can HEAR the difference.

i didnt even want to test with my samsung P2..bcos i think it will pawn both..hehe..

2gb for 699 iianm..so much more cheaper and better than ipod touch..but i have both..hehe..that why i said its better.

u can SYNC with ur handphone and use it as a HANDSFREE..SERIOUS..theres a built in mic....caller ID will be shown on screen..u can reject or accept calls with P2 itself..AND..u can DIAL with p2 too..

sounds hot huh? and samsung provides software updates with more n more function for the BUILT IN bluetooth..

its a good buy i must say...

okay....here's my comparison with i-phone....
loudspeaker- e8 wins.....no doubt.... i-phone's speaker juzz SUCKS....
headphone- i-phone is louder...but UNBEARABLE for my ears.... ROKR E8- superb quality n clarity....even at max volume..
e8 also has wicked equaliser and also BASS BOOST n 3D STEREO feature......
PLUS....da Fast Scroll Wheel is much cooler than that THING in ipod.........u know....u have to scroll round n round n round n round......zzzzzzzz
da MODESHIFT is amazing..........really cool...hahahaha need i say more????

I just registered to this forum because of ROKR E8.

After reading thousands of reviews(! ) about this phone, I finally found a forum which talks about hands-on real experiences.

You have written nearly everything, thats very kind, but I have some doubts.

In the %50 of the reviews (including mobile-review.com which is not made for marketing) , it has written that the menu is sluggish or laggy. But you are saying that the menus are not slow..So have you done a firmware upgrade or why the reviewers are always saying that, the interface is sluggish or freeze sometimes?

I love this phones look. It is very beatiful regarding to its videos and pictures. But I am afraid of buying a phone which is laggy, slow and very difficult to use..
