dude...believe it or not..its NOT touch sensitive buttons..except the OMega WHeel..
its actually buttons..but how can it be buttons when the front plate is a piece of glass?
when the phone is on..u can feel like u are pressing own..when its OFF..u can press down..
i don really know how to explain it..its like the FIRST in mobile phone..

its normal but not as normal as conventional buttons..
its definitely not touch sensitive..it has a tactile feedback whenever u press it..
they call it...morphing keypad with haptic feedback...

u gotta test it to believe it...i still cant figure out how it works though..maybe u can tell me after u test it..

when the keypad is inactive, it felt like u cant really press the 'buttons' bcos it doenst hav the haptic feedback.
when its active, the haptic feedback really give u the feel of pressing it down but u only press down a bit only n the plastic fascia will go down a lil n touch the plate inside n activate the haptic. very cool

it's quite a nice phone hor?? but need to make some clarification..

1. frontpanel is a glass, not plastic
2. how it modeshift? actually, the phone physically without keypad.. moto use the circuit board when control by lighting.. so, u can't feel that when phone is off, the keypad is hard like a rock.. when there is light, u can feel the tactile feeling.. in summary, the tactile feedback is just a small little vibration when u press the button which has light.. (it is not touch sensitive.. its a virtual keypad which u still have to press it)
3. I hope u guys did not buy the 4GB microSDHC.. E8 does not support HC(high capacity).. same goes to U9.. if u insert SDHC, the phone might get hang and hot because it does not recognise the SDHC file system.. so just use standard 4GB microSD..

just found out a bug in my E8..

even when after i read n close the sms...the sms ringtone will still keep playing till end of the song!!!!

but u can stop it by pressing the volume rocker..haha
