Is it Vdrop and Vdroop serious using Quad core??

this mobo can support QX9650 after update the bios, so I think it should support Q9300 as well~
vdrop and vdroop only serious in using quad core, dual core not so serious...

actually what is the normal temp for NB? Coz in idle, my NB temp is around 42-45, full load will be around 50-52 something, and never exceed than 55C. So, is that normal actually? Coz I heard many ppl said the NB will be quite hot if using stock heatsink...

yeah bro..the NB stock cooler quite hot when full load..im using fan to blow it when oc the rig..if not can feel the warm

why u dont use 1:1 ratio?

thats why I upload a picture to show out the NB temp... I dun believe my NB temp is just around 50++ under full load if using stock heatsink...

btw, if smart guarding not so reliable, then which s/w is better? I tried with everest, speedfan, HWmonitor as well... all giving me the same reading like SG.

If I use 1:1, then my RAM speed just 900MHz. I wanna try how far my RAM can go, hence I use 5:6.

yup, very little vdrop (reading between bios & windows, 0.01v) on dualcore, and no vdroop during load and idle.

thanks bro... dont know why mine is kinda bad vdrop n vdroop... but i just realised now, once i bump up my VTT to 1.26 my vdroop on load is only 0.01v like urs

tonight going to play with this "new" mobo again~

yes, around +/- 10mV vdrop during load, compare to around 50mV when i used Q6600.

DK was really meant for C2D, but not C2Q.

Like the picture above, my processor VID is 1.325v, by setting the "CPU VID Special Add" to Auto, and "CPU VTT Voltage" to 1.200v, so the processor's vcore should be the same like the VID on the picture above, rite?

Then what mobo meant for C2Q.

im not refering to coretemp as it gv me wrong reading..i use cpuz to c the vcore..yeah as u set the vid special to auto, that mean it ur stock vcore

from what i read so far... abit x38 quad gt seems to be good cos it gives very little vdroop quad.... but the negative side will be super hot pwm

i dont really know bout p35... but the abit mobo somehow i saw somebody selling 2nd hand at rm500 at garage sales now brand new ones shud be around rm660 from lehteck

yeah i also think the vdrop coz by my psu..coz i didnt try run it yet with my OP750 jus using strider 400w now..erm mine not too serius vdrop..its around 0.01 to 0.03v

from what i read abit x38 got no vdroop on quad(the user used DMM to measure)

put one 40mmx10mm fan on pwm heatsink will solve the problem.

the fins and heatpipe won't hit the NB cooler even you install it vertical or horizontal....but the bracket will hit the top mosfet cooler if install in vertical method...so the only way is fit it like tis...

owh..ok2 coz jus wondering my ultra120e can fix or not..didnt hv time to try it yet

dun worry...i can sure TRUE can fix but you have to have it horizontally instead side to side unless you did some modify like this...
