The bios is familiar with the P965-S Dark version. Kinda easy to use. Lots of tweaks u can play with. Will b exploring this section tomolo. haha

well, for my case, the story is like this...

the first time I installed the s1283 horizontally because it crash with the original northbridge heatsink, and the temp. is terrible at stock speed during load full load is up to 70'c then I quickly replaced it by U6 so that I could put the s1283 vertically, so at last, I dont know how U6 performs over the original NB heatsink.

Yeah, I wonder how he managed to fit it in after showing us the picture that one of the capacitor blocked the card end notch .

Go pick HIS HD3870 IceQ 3 Turbo Edition instead and this wouldn't be a problem .

BTW sniper69, the mobo tray you take out from which casing? I'm looking forward to change a casing with that kind of slide-in mobo tray .

updated to 24/12/08 BIOS, nothing much different, but some major change in overclocking feature, previous BIOS seems won't auto reboot like used to... but now, fixed

recently flashing corrupted BIOS on my brother's Biostar, we use 2 floppy disks and successfully... but if the Award BIOS vs AMI BIOS... kinda tricky

I have tried 05/12 (beta) and 24/12 (official), both the bios are identical, but I feel that the official one make the windows loading bar run more loop than the beta one. btw, you guys got what revision for this mobo? can check via the sticker on the pci slot. mine is rev.AA0

duh, i know that. I wanted to relay my information in the sense of revision of BIOS. BIOS revisions have effects on OCing.

Owh haha sorry misunderstood. BIOS rev depends on what was revised. Maybe additional support for higher FSB, fixes of bugs.

Hehe... you doesn't know regarding the TNB's plays at my area very well... it usually has random blackout for a few seconds before power back online. Happened a few times on me while playing DOTA online .

actually it's not about highest clock, as long can hit 3GHz ~ 3.2GHz with stock voltage will do just fine..., i tried to keep everything on stock voltage...

about the fan, i use normal fan, Lian Li, CoolerMaster UV fan and 4 hi-performance ADDA fan... for daily usage, tend to use normal fan, only use hi performance fan on overclocking... besides, i'm running naked system

Haha brother, told you that it isn't that I doesn't want to OC, but there are just too many settings that I don't know which and which to change and what and what to be set there . You got the board, you know about the option yourself. So far the chipset running at 45C for me, wouldn't be bothering to kacau it unless it gets around 50C *pray pray*.

I changed all the side intake and rear exhaust fan to Vantec's UV Led fans. Wanna bling bling ma . Didn't bother to change the front 120mm intake cause couldn't be seen. However, wonder if it is the culprit that making the loud noise during bootup and wishing to change it to a better performance one .

Did you read regarding my problem with Crysis where the screen went blank? I wonder it is my graphic card or the Ati driver itself . That's what bugging me at the moment .

about the Crysis... i think because of the driver, have you get the latest (Catalyst 8.1)... AFAIK, previous driver... 7.12, 7.11 and lower having this issue... don't know man, i'm not playing Crysis though

The temperature really amazing. However, how when you checked with Core Temp or HWMonitor? AFAIK, there are the processor temperature and cores temperature, right? The one showed by the ITE SmartGuardian is the processor temperature. My processor temperature just being nice at 38~40C. However, it goes the other way when you checked the cores temperature .

I'm using ATI CCC 8.1. Kinda pissed off playing great game but need to reset the rig at times to run it properly .

but the other day, tried on all position...facing the RAM, one of the edge touches HD3870 PCB, facing IO port at the back, same - touching the HD3870 PCB; other position - facing HR-01, ok, but i can't use push-pull fan config; facing HD3870 - worse... the whole heatsink <1mm gap with the PCB

then i think with TRUE120 lagi teruk.

so which nb cooler will be best if using true120 as cpu cooler?
