for 3.9Ghz ah.. for 65nm Conroes.. hmm i can only suggest three, which is obvious, 120Xtreme, xigmatek or ifx14

haha, i think will b over for his budget if take the IFX14 or TRUE. Xigmatek is best choice i think. Anyone tried TT V1 with it ? I've yet to take out my V1 from the S939 rig to test on mine. Mayb this weekend check out the temps. haha.

if no hassle / budget permit...go for Ultra 120 Extreme + pair with nice fan cun oledi woh

btw...lazy to search out...which PC6400 1gb x 2 ram pair nicely with this mobo? ahaha lazy to read all the way long...

Dun worry bro. This mobo seems to b ok with most stuffs. I tried even unknown brand of rams on it still able to boot up and burn in with it. haha. I think the days of the NF4 pickyness r over. Anyone else got compatibility issue ?

ddr2 already like how long in the martket.. since my p4 D already.. so most of the chipsets are already mature and nothing really new is out there..

so most mobo makers are already in the loop..
except errr asus on 4 sticks ocz rams.. something to do with the tRFC which the whole XS has been petitioning and the new bios for all the p35/x38 asus boards are going to have some insane tRFC up to 130 i think..

last time i really hate those 4-3 LEDs on the ultra-d...have to use one kind of BIOS for one kind of ram (TCCD, BH5, Hynix etc)...

, i don't know why, but i can't use the Team Extreme RAM, i thought it was the RAM, but tested on other system (Biostar T690, MSI P35 Neo2 FR and Gigabyte P31 DS3) all went well... with MSI, i can clock DDR2 1125MHz without further tweaks
there's one guy though, using very same RAM and board, he's (overclockeralbert), he's got no problem though...

no, according remysix & overclockalbert, this mobo have the serious vdroop with Quad core. you should go for UT/LT which have the vdroop control in the bios

not sure generally, but for my case...very not good one...and due to that (possibly), i have been having a hard time to even getting similar result like the one with my DQ6...so far, not very pleased

actually i also gonna rma my giga mobo...but due to diff reason; all the sudden having problem running dual channel - got BSOD and errors when ran the memtest...

since you had RMA the ram, maybe it's not D9 chip anymore hence can't oc that high.

yes, serious 40-50mv vdroop when full load, and just try that with +100mv bios setting, with 3.6ghz, fail p95 within 5minutes.
very bad vdroop, but nvm, i'll swap to e8400 soon. hope that's better vdroop control since duo core.

That's a nice OC. Did you just set the vcore or you had to tweak other settings..... errr.... what was it, VTT, GTL, etc....

I'll be getting my blood iron this Monday, have to look up on all these additional BIOS settings....

I finally come to understand regarding the 1:1 ratio of the FSB with the DRAM. So I would need to raise my FSB to 400MHz if I wanted to do 1:1 ratio with my DDR800. So, when starting to overclock... I should...

1) Raise the FSB to 400
2) Raise the VID Special Add level by level

Till I successfully pass the stressing test?

that can be mount a small fan on it?

possibly any 40mm fans can be place onto that heatsink...but have to used ur creativity in order to mount it and prevent it from falling off..

try a good double sided tape and place it in the middle on the back of the fan

i tried up to 1.5800V (CPUz reading), +325mV (BIOS setup) @400x9, but it hangs whenever i do the priming...

try lower the frequency la, eg. 3.5GHz or 3.4GHz...

btw, i'm using 24/12 bios and the lowest VTT is 1.20v, the screenie I taken from somewhere.

nah, i'm good @3GHz, 333x9 with 4-4-4-10 now... performance wise... maybe on par or almost same as 400x8, other than that... ok la...

my CPU VID is 1.3125V, special add is +100mV, is it calculated as 1.3125 + 0.1000?

yup, should be like this, but I dont know the default vcore in bios is diff. from VID

eg. my E6550 VID is 1.3125v but vcore in bios only 1.28v. like mine now, add 50mV, so my vcore in bios is 1.28v + 0.05v = 1.33v

switched to E2140 M0 for 100% Overclocking @1.4500VCore..., tried 100% on E2160, i can't pass OCCT 30Mins Test at even 1.5800VCore, could've try higher but the temp is hold me back... so ended up use E2140 with 400x8 @1.4500VCore

the system forced to reboot 1.4240VCore on load, thought might be due to insufficient juice, pumped to +150mV instead of 137.5mV previously, ran again... load still @1.4240VCore but passed the test
