I'm thinking to get something which has these features:
1) backup all the photos in memory cards, so that i can take more shots - not only backup, but also able to play back
2) can act as an external hdd (work like ext hdd or pendrive - just plug and play, dont have to install any software)
3) at least 30gb
4) video playback would be a plus

I was considering Zune, but it seems like the PC needs to have Zune's software installed in order to transfer files. This is inconvenient if i bring the device during my trips and need to install software on other PCs before i can backup the photos.

Im not sure how ipod, zen and archos work...

Need your opinions...

Try the Creative Zen Vision W. I'm sure it will suit your needs.

Try this model out, fast, can directly transfer from your camera's memory to the hard disk and has a 4" LCD to view your photos as well.

A bit pricey though, RM2000 if I am not wrong.
