Update: Abit of bad news for you guys ... seems like communicating in different language really brings out different meaning, those who want extension wire like chua's one you need to top up RM10, it's ok for you guys not to purchase just that your ZERO will be end up "roofless" since the discrete opamp is too tall and you cant close ZERO's steel top cover Please do update with me your decision, k? sorry for the havoc, I should go and learn to type in chinese soon

I believe ZERO DAC has gone a long way to make it to the international scene. It is very important to squeeze out more juice from the source. OPA Earth in the DAC section is further affirmed by more users of it. However OPA at the headphone section depends to be seen.

I am very satisfied at how ZERO DAC perform with the OPA .

no. currently for me I use it on DAC SECTION. The output of DAC section goes to headamp section too, but normally I dont play headphone.

so i dunno how OPA perform at headphone.

Optical or coaxial out from your soundcard to zero dac. You'll need an optical cable or coaxial cable.

use ur onboard SPDIF output....

sell ur x-fi


reason i saying this is because to use the SPDIF output from the x-fi u either must have the front panel audio connectors or the converter. if ur x-fi already comes with the fron tpanel audio then use that...otherwise, not worth buying the converter for the rear.

and creative cards are known to be very jittery with their digital outputs.

not sure about onboard...might be better, might be same, might be worse...but i just dont think its worth the money to buy the front panel audio connector...

Penchuum has not given his review yet on HDAM. Only PP has done so, u may check his sig for the review.

However Penchuum commented if you use the OPA Earth/Sun at the DAC, it will benefit great deals to those who use speakers.

UPDATE: Due to overwhelming response from all over the world, SUN and EARTH are temporarily out of stock and next batch will be done within these 3 or 4 days, and they promised to send it on next Monday or Tuesday. Some guys reported that these discrete opamp took around 3-4days to arrive at doorstep, so estimate date of arrival would be next Friday or Saturday Stay tuned!

Please ask him take his time, make us all nice units dont rush.

@kwekeugene: yeah i think i suffer from minor tinnitus because i liked to bang my phones too loud. taking my time to lower my listening volume

about the opamp... yeah... i think most of us here rather wait than get rushed defective stuff, tell him no need to rush... take the time to make it nice.

All I can to you guys, the OPA Earth and Sun rocks. Looking at the way it goes, more and more guys are getting fun out of it.

Transparent Power Link Plus is power cord rite? I've changed my cap ayam amp power cord with my pc's PSU power cord. 5-10% improvements i think.
