Gigabyte using Ultra Durable2 Components, including All Low ESR Solid Capacitor made in Japan, Ferrite Core and Low (RDS) ON Mosfet. Also PWM design still Virtual 12 phase like all DQ6 series from Gigabyte.

GA-X48T-DQ6 supports up to DDR3-1900 MHz with Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Performance),and Native FSB 1600 CPU. Gigabyte start to implement 2 power phase for Northbridge and Memory, this kind of technology provide more clean and pure supply power both for chipset and memory modules. Another feature implemented is DES (Dynamic Enery Saver), this feature helps you to reduce the PC power consumption by utilize the 12 phase PWM module.

You can experience with a lot of tweaking option, starting from CL, TRCD, TRP, and subtimings.

3 option above used for tuning the CPU, especially Quad Core CPU.

Very extreme voltage memory option !!!. You can juice your DDR3 up to 3.05 volt !!! Beware using this option or you DDR3 will die easily

user posted image

Do you think this option only for PCI-E volt ?? And then you are wrong. This feature also related to CPU PLL and SB Volt, as we know CPU PLL impact very significant to reach more and more FSB and offcourse related to CPU total clock. Use this option to reach higher CPU clock

Combined with PCI-E Overvoltage, FSB Overvoltage gives you more stability when operated in high clock.

MCH Overvoltage or Northbridge overvoltae available up to 1.975 !!! this is damn crazy for sure...

And offcourse GPU GTL Calibration for fine tuning CPU, especially quad core CPU

Loadline Calibration functioning to decrease vdroop, but in my testing this option not functioning at all.

Up to 2.3 volt but sadly the increment is too big after 1.6 volt. Be carefull with this option.

For test, i use this hardwares :

* Processor Intel Core2 Quad Xtreme X9770 Engineering Sample
* Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 F4B BIOS
* VGA Card Gigabyte GV-RX387512H 512 MB GDDR4
* Memory Team Xtreem DDR3 1600C7 2 GB Kit
* PSU Gigabyte Odin GT 550 Watt
* Heatsink Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 + Thermaltake Smart Fan 12cm

Not difference with QX9650, this QX9770 reach 4.3 GHz (430 Mhz x 10) with vcore 1.46 volt, air cooling offcourse.

0.5 multiplier works great !!!

Highest FSB for now... 470 Mhz

Amazing! If only it had SLI support ...

Did you try those .5 multipliers? If it works, why not reducing them to have a higher FSB?

Here comes X48 and first review seems awesome rclxms.gif

Yes i did, please take a look at 3rd post. I did post some screenshot with 8.5 Multiplier. For FSB, i'm stuck at 470 Mhz for stability, 475 Mhz only for suicide, no matter what multiplier used.

very nice stuff bro.. keep us updated all the time. Love your reviews brows.gif

OMG,pink color ram slot sweat.gif
anyway,it's a nice shot for quad with 470mhz for now,
i think TS just need to fine tune and 550MHz should be no problme brows.gif

That's a nice overclock smile.gif I wonder why X38 doesn't do FSB's as high as P35's.

Yeah, i hate that pink color too blink.gif

Previously, i've always called Gigabyte to have a very ugly color.
But this X48 DQ6 is even worse!

Look at the ram slot. Ugghh..

hehee:)
gigabyte not really capable for 465+ fsb ..??
my p35 DQ6 stuck @ 465 any multiplier ...q66... e66... e2160 also same ...
anyone share ?

That's cpu fsb wall, not because the mobo is not capable. I managed to get my p35-ds3 to pass the 500mhz point but i encountered with the cpu which is E6300 at 515mhz.
SlayerXT
This board capable doing more than 550MHz. Maybe must use extreme edition proc.
BeastX
both chipset and cpu could contribute to fsb wall.. not all cpu are equal and the same also goes to the chipset.
