Check the serial number with the authorize dealer is the best way to proof.

actually, i've heard of cases where the fakes sounded almost similar to the original... so there are theories that probably, those fakes are manufactured by OEM and they chop the brand on their own...hehe

nowadays, buy anything also got risk of fake... sigh...

somehow i heard from somewhere somewhere and from someone someone... the fake JL subs materials are all the same as the originals ones... EXCEPT for the voice coils... so you cant differenciatte a fake and the ori on looks... sound wise, i have yet to encounter them...

How about the sound quality? Is it almost same as genuine 1? If like that worth to buy wat.

like i said.. i had never encounter them side by side to do a fair comparison of the SQ... another "blindfolding" session needed but then never saw a fake JL subs also till now... haha...

Only Major difference is the power handling is lower in the fake ones as their voice coil has less coils.
A friend did a test before with the previous dealer. they only knew it was fake when they dismantle the whole voice coil. that was the only visible difference.
