Hi all sifusss...

I like more on SQ, but i quite noob bout all the hardware that i should looking for and to run on what mode... so guys, can u tell me what brand should i looking for HU, x-over, amp, speaker, etc?? Budget around 4K. TQ

Alpine, Pioneer, Eclipse, Kenwood (personal preference as I find the sound very "round"/full)

those china brand player is the last thing u wanna buy...

you'll need to specify your budget as SQ setup can be rather expensive compared to those who just wants to play it LOUD

My budget is around 4K..... so that mean for first stage i've to choose a good HU is it?

How bout other things like speaker etc do i've to choose the same brand like HU? or i just mix it??

One of my friend said that we have two mode to run our ice.... passive or active... for SQ which mode i have to go?

I'll suggest alpine,eclipse or pioneer for head unit. As for components, go for vifa, rainbow, dls, morel, focal, scan speak,phd and a lot more others. Same goes for amplifier, but u can try tru,steg,a/d/s,arc audio, alpine,phd and others. While for subwoofer u can go for scanspeak, helix deep blue, diamond, scan speak, idq,phass aliante for a start.

But those mentioned above will be way beyond your stated budget, some alone or all together in new condition so it's better for you to go and do a bit of listening yourself before deciding on anything.

Yeah for the 1st stage, go for a sq headunit but it's not cheap as even a 2nd hand can go to 1k++ easily so make your choice wisely. I'll suggest alpine 9835 or 9855 or 7998 or 9887. As for eclipse u can go for 8061 or 7100. While for pioneer, p80rs will be a wise choice.

As for mixing, well 1st u need to know the characteristic of those u plan to mix(from tweeter to mid to midbass and subwoofers as well) in order to get the best out of it. But final decision will still depend on your ear of course.

If u are those euthusiatic type who likes a lot of tweaking here and there, tuning and more headache then go for active or else go for passive. U can get more info from the websites i mentioned above.

1k for HU
1k for speaker
1k for amp+x-over
1k for sub

I think 1k for sub is to much isnt it? For now i try to stick for that budget. i'll suft and have a look at your recomended website. TQ

nope, i'm a newbie in ice as well. Try going through those websites and take your time before deciding on what you want. There are always helpfull ppl around as those who had share info with me, i share with you and in time it'll be you instead to share it with others.

1k for h.u is quite a healthy budget for beginners but it's pretty limited to 2nd hand sq head units only. Take your time to go through and who knows u might bump into a good deal which suits your budget.

As for 1k in component(tweeter and midbass for 2 way system), if u stretch a bit u can get new entry level set or else go for used middle level set.

1k for amp+x-over is pretty tight even for used 2ch middle level unit, ok for used entry level 2ch amp but again take your time and go for the best deal. If u plan to add a sub then u'll need at least a 4ch amp or 2 2ch amp.

Last but not the least 1k for sub is a healthy budget for a sub but u need to take into consideration the cost of custom make the box which can give u just enough for new sub or else go for used item.

And don't forget to reserve at least 500 for installation and cables.

Bro i'm only giving my opinions and a constructive 1 and i did mentioned to look for the best deal out there besides items most likely to be available only in used condition for his 1k budget and he might need to stretch his budget.

Well i'm not taking it in my heart of course. But if others are in my shoes, i'm sure they will be pissed off too.
