Not all game run well with remotejoy.
you need different remotejoy.prx for final fantasy cc.
if you not using irshell , set remotejoy.prx & usbhostfs.prx enable at game.
add this line at game.txt
ms0:/seplugins/usbhostfs.prx
ms0:/seplugins/remotejoy.prx
then enable it at recovery menu
if you do it correctly winxp will detect psp as "psp type b" when you started the game
remember you need to install psp driver "type b" else it will not work.

So u already have PSP Type B driver but Windows cant install it?

What did i do:

1) Run game with RemoteJoy in PSP while connecting USB cable.
2) Windows will detect the new hardware (PSP Type B) and ask for the driver.
3) I just browse to the driver folder manually, not letting windows search it automatically.

I thought that what the tutorial said....
Cyphereza
The way I did it was I fixed my ID keys, then Windows detected my PSP. Voila! It's installed.

PSPians,

Just want to know isit true that 3.71 firmware is more stable compare to 3.9x? The guy who sold me a psp told me to stick to 3.71 instead of upgrading. Is there any new feature if I upgrade to 3.9x version of fiirmware? Then I found out that 3.90 has m33 or m33-1 isit? Let me know which firmware is much more better and stable tongue.gif

im using 3.90 M33-2 , i have no problem with anything at all

These are the normal case lar, sellers always tells us , latest firmware has issue
Yes it might be true when it has JUST LAUNCHED.
But for 3.90 M33-2 is not the latest now and it has been for quite awhile
Cyphereza
Its just a scam to sell their 3.71 PSPs because they either don't know how to upgrade it or they don't have the stock for 3.90 yet.

yup, i installed it manually, redirect it to the folder where the driver was.
and dear mod Cyphereza.. hehe.
how did you fix the idkey? i use key cleaner, it cant fix some errors.
is that why i cant do this remote joy thing? huuuu!

btw. i got this error after starting psplink!
"Error 0x8002013B starting module"

and i never got this "statement"
3) On your PSP go to Games and run the PSPLink v3.0 OE program. This will cause
the USB on your PSP to activate and Windows should tell you that it has
detected a new device (PSP Type B) and wants drivers for it.
Cyphereza
What firmware are you on? If you're on latest one (>= 3.71), have you installed 1.5 support? (I assume that u're on Phat)
No0KieF
3.90 m33-2.. n yup, ive installed 1.5 support

(p/s: how to know nway? i think ive installed it.. but forgot!)
Cyphereza
I think there is no harm in installing it again.
No0KieF
Ok. will try it later..

off topic.. how come ur siggy is on the left side?

Anybody knows how to fix this? I just got my PSP flashed to the latest cfw 3.9 version, but I still can't surf the web properly. On web pages like Facebook and such, it mentioned that I should have Java installed. So how do it do that? Currently the page display is overlapping all over another.

Can someone pls direct me to the newbie section where I can learn more about
- how to upgarde to customized firmware. which is the most stable revision to run home-brew software and surfing the internet?
- what is pandora battery? do we need it and why?
- any know problem (or pro and con) of using compatible (Sandisk, Transcend etc) MSPD vs orginal Sony.

And apologize if these are real newbie questions.

Best advise is to have your machine sent to a game shop to have it flashed. You run a higher risk of bricking your machine if you miscalculate your steps.

Pandora battery is a gadget required to flash your machine. You only need it if you plan to attempt the flashing yourself. The battery is quite pricey itself.

One gamespot website did a comparable test between a Sony MPSD vs a Sandisk MPSD, and Sandisk came out tops with almost double the transfer rate.

Thanks trancesition for your info.
does it mean that one needs to have a pandora battery to flash to customized firmware? I read (or rather glance) thru this forum and seems like many users do flash their PSP on their own, so I beleive they have a Pandora batttery?

Just curious where can I get one? And can you point me to a how-to instruction to flash a PSP?

Happy gaming.

Thank you.

I know it can be pricey but have you tried Malaysia Sony for the parts? At least get a price estimate. Also, at least it is original. You don't want to buy some cheap knockoff plastics that don't even feel good pressing it.

hey PSP Gurus,

I have lost touch on psp for more than two years. Me and my friend is planning to get a PSP but worried about the warranty. Here are some question i hope you guys can help me with.

1. Can i switch back to the original firmware from the firmware that allows me to play downloaded games if i want to claim warranty if my machine is actually purchased frm Sony? Would Sony be able to check whether i have switch firmware?

2. Does Sony PSP purchased from Singapore provide international warranty including Malaysia?

3. How many dead pixels i must have before i can claim warranty from Sony?

Thanks in advanced
