would like to ask.. is it true that non-original charger will spoil the battery pack? recently my charger just spoilt and i got myself an imitated 1 instead. i noticed that it seems won't stop after a full charge (my previous 1 will stop after the battery is fully charged). the shop keeper told me using non-orig charger will spoilt the battery pack.. is it?

how to know the psp is connected to the internet using usb adapter that attach at the laptop??how can i browse the internet??

helo guys. how come when i try connect wirelessly at college frm my psp, it keep getting timeout while trying getting da ip address while my laptop is able to connect. theres no WEP or security in da network plus im sure my WLAN is turned on. what is missing?

3.90 is a firmware version. M33-3 is a custom firmware version of that firmware. Custom firmware have lots more of what original firmware can do.

then some 1 telling me that i need to buy a umd dis..coz that game need a video or umd disc to support when u play the game.

@nicky1112001, u don't need a umd disk to play "those" type of games if u're running CFW(custom firmware). well, if u get another 8gb, u need to format the memory stick using the psp.y cannot get anything? did u actually update the psp or something?
@idrake, i think there is such thing but so far nv encounter anything..btw it should be easy to notice. Button and switches may be slightly lose (new 1 r tight a bit), the gold connector of the battery of the psp should look gold and shiny with not even a visible sign of black stuff.sames goes for the psp charging place.

Homebrewed before? = I'm not sure but it does have the Recovery funtion which you hold R and switch it on, so my guess is yes?

Ok. Today, I just got myself a game, FF 7 Crisis Core english version. Lets just say that I somehow get it "not that legally" if you get what I mean, especially those torrents users. I start the game, and it gives me this :

"The game cannot be started" along with the error code of "80020148"

After hours of googling here and there, I'm feeling a bit unsafe to whether or not to upgrade my psp with the firmware stated at page 1 of this topic. And I also feel that the reason of the error above is because I need to upgrade the firmware to a more recent one.

Do be reminded that this is a China version of psp. I googled the firmware and all I got is all chinese website which I cant read.

Here's is what I wanna ask :

Is it ok for me to upgrade my current firmware to the firmware stated in Page1 or do I have to search for the China version which I absolutely have no idea of.

you mean 3.03 oe-c right... thats very old fimware... u need at least 3.71 to play new games.. i suggest u go to the shop to upgrade ur fimware.. the cost not gonna more than rm 50..

erm... I'm not sure whether is an OE firmware. But from what I can see is that the version shown on the PSP is : 303OEC R+

you can google this and you'll get all the chinese websites and stuffs. I'm a chinese but I cant read.... =.=

I did post this on another forum and they suggested to use pandora battery to convert this into M33 which I'm a bit worry for the battery part.

I did saw other forums where the posters said their firmware is 3.03 OEC but did not inlude the "R+"...

I am a new PSP owner, there are some queries here i wanated to ask you guys out, as you guys know.. there are MS pro duo and m2 memory card from sony out there, however their price is different between the 2 types of the memory card,

i was wondering can i play games, video and music by plugging a m2 memory card in a adapter(MS pro duo) and use it in psp?

will the memory cards works as usual?? will there be any lag/problem when i play games using memory card?

i answer the second question...last week i buy from garage sale m2 4gb rm110 plus msdp adapter n shipping

So far DAX release 4.01m33-2 which fix sum bugs. Fimware 4.01 only added fix for the search XMB in different language only n in firmware 4.00 speed up for video is added. So dissapointing

A question here, if I'm running on 3.70 m33, can I upgrade the firmware to 4.01 m33 without the pandora battery or the magic stick?

Another one, from 3.95, can I use the pandora battery and magic stick to change it to the CFW?

it should be around 3 hours +/-.. depends on the game u play, brightness level, volume level, and cpu speed setting..
