In short, no you cannot run them at 2 ohms. Your amp cannot support that load. However, if you wire the voice coil in series at 8 ohms you'll be able to run the sub. However, you amplifier's output will be half at 300w @ 8ohms instead of 600w @ 4ohms.

sifu can elaborate a bit.. not really understand.. y 8ohms?? sorry newbies..
bafukie
dual 4 ohms means u can only wired it up @ 2 ohms or 8 ohms
loon1031
If you use 4ohm mean u better buy a SVC sub...
dimetri86
but if i still want use DVC i can use this setup rite??

another question, let say my amp can supply 2 ohm, do the sub will give different performance when i wire 4 ohm versus when i wire 2 ohm?? which better??
driftmeister
no
there is no significant difference
unless u are competing in a DB Drag challenge
bafukie
mana ada no diff....2 ohm gives u less resistance and hence amp pumps out more power compared to 4 ohms

audible ? i dun think so
bafukie
really? try pumping 100rms into a 350rms subbie and 500 rms into the same 350 rms subbie and see...

How you feel? laugh.gif

i doubt you can audit a difference on 200w @ 2ohm and 200w @ 4ohm... if you can you really have a diamond ear...

be fair with your comparison...

cheers...
loon1031
Diamond ear can hear the distrotion of sub....wahaha..
bafukie
craziechild: not saying diff between 200@ 2 ohms and 200@ 4 ohms la... tongue.gif
