the new firmware is very awesome. the autorotate function really cool. and also i noticed that when the phone went to sleep mode, the side keys which is media button and volume rocker beeps showing blue color. really nice one

yeah is awesome. but when u put ur hp on car holder and make a corner, it will suddenly change to lanscape but the phone in potrait mode.

how bout the battery life?
i agree about the performance and the new features. but disagree with the battery life. damn.

i read at another forum, got ppl unsatisfied with battery performance, but is like 1/10 saying that. my advice, (taken from there also ) format ur memory card as well, uninstall all the 3rd party software and fully charging ur phone. if no changes happen, try to re-update the firmware. and, dont forget, the new firmware is stable, and i must admit, it is a way better than previous firmware. try to set in Log, Options > Settings > Log Duration > set it 1 day.

its like history. by the way, i assume it is tweaks for our Nokia N95. the default will set to 30 days. Imagine, ur calling and smsing to someone will be recorded, even u delete 1 sms from other person, Log still shows that u get sms from other person. So, the default 30 days is mean our handphone will save the log for 30 days period. setting it to 1 days will increase a little performance for our hp. try it out. u may search this tips on the net too.

Previous my original N95 map can show my house location with road name and housing area,
But after I update latest Nokia map load from Nokia, the road and whole area are missing.
Anyone can help me to restore the previous original map back to N95.

regarding the reduced battery life, i guess its has something to do with auto screen rotate since ur accelerometer will be on most of the time. normally, it's in off state. try disable ASR and see how it goes.

please post the tip tricks sumore if u have any.

although the ASR already pre-installed in our N95, i was wondering that the apps is not switch on most of the time. It is because, comparing with rotateme v2.0, i must admit the built-in ASR is not responsive as rotateme. So here, i assume, the ASR using a low resource than the rotateMe apps. Just when the phone in horizontal mode, about 3-5 second then the apps will being activated. unlike rotateme, even u can set the sensitivity, the responsive is very good than built-in. Conclusion is, using built-in is much less memory, and im not thinking that is the caused for battery performance.

Actually, is a lot tips and tricks posted via the net. Some of it, to whom not using the 3G, u can always select only the GSM mode in your settings. Disable some of the auto-starting apps also increased the performance and save more battery. Therefore, Python is alternative apps that i can say 'must' for our phone. Its an alternative coding that can running some cool apps. Im using Restart EQ and Shutdown EQ. It can set time to restart ur phone! Like using notebook/computer also, u need to restart/reboot your pc to refresh the memory.

i'm talking about accelerometer, the hardware. once u activated ASR, it's the accelerometer sucking the power.

i when to my dad office today at sapura building locate at the mines just to check on the new nokia n96. i seriously proud of my nokia n95. n96 look ugly and the look ( n81) can't match our executive nokia n95 look. accept for 16 gb and can watch tv with n96 our nokia n95 is much much better. i wonder why they copy n81 look... look like a cheap phone...rather than changing to nokia n96 now i want samsung omnia or maybe iphone 3g. but for now i want to stick with my nokia 95.. it's never let me down..maybe the battery run out fast but im always bring on spare battery incase of emergency and charger if i want to using wlan service specially in starbuck.

hmm i suppost not to talk about this..zitron too small compare to sapura.. they hold the license or not they still have alot of nokia phone in their main office ( mostly all the workers will given a nokia phone ) the nokia n96 was given to my dad if he want it. most of board director was given e90 for now. the owner dato sri shahril and brother's shariman is consider gadget freak's. so when new product came out they sure the first to get. money is not a problem for them =) sapura sell only certain nokia phone and the license that zitron get is actually given by ******. it's because selling a handphone not really a big money for them unless they produce it... rather than selling a handphone they prefer sell bmw car (sapura auto ) lead by uncle shariman. maybe if u free drop off at sapura building, their office used all the latest gadget etc computer, laptop, phone and more. im so jealous of the uncle shahril, every morning when to his office by private boat .. life is so luxury

After testing my phone for 2-3 days now, I have to agree that my battery are not like usual. Its drain too fast although I have tweak to save my battery.

i just bought n95 last nite..for rm1.5k with 2gb...ap set lor...my version is V21.0.016...really a noob in this n95...just love this phone..but dunno what other function it have...
