A 'Bujang House' have 9PC and we want to have a broadband connections.


Case Scenario.

Bujang House: Seksyen U10 Shah Alam. (Taman Subang Impian, Near UiTM Puncak Perdana).

Number of bujang's stayed: 9 People. (8 UiTM Students's 1 Working)

Number of PC : 9

Games Played : GG client (DOTA)

P2P Used: Heavily used.

Connections Criteria: All 9PC must have a good internet connections.

Dude, i suggest you to go for streamyx then..get the enterprise package if you guys are really really OK with the price you are goin to share..

I was a student back then with a house of 10 BUJANGs and we manage to online and p2p using streamyx 1.0mbps back then (a year ago)

Regarding the business package :

ADSL 1.0Mbps -- 1 FIXED IP -- 3 Email -- RM413

SDSL 1.5Mbps -- 1 FIXED IP -- 3 Email -- RM618

*SDSL have same amount of upload and download.

Hmmm... THE BILLS:

RM413 / 9 = RM49 per persons.
RM618 / 9 = RM69 per persons.

Any other opinions or suggestions is welcome.

Huh non company registered address can apply for corporate account meh?

Get 1 1.5mbps SDSL and 1 1mbps line. Get a RV router and load balance it.. it can hit more than 1mbps download speed. and is freaking stable. cost is freaking cheap if share by 9 ppl

If you cant get a SDSL line try get 2 x 4mbps line. + some under table money to pump up 1 line to 6 mbps. then get a RV router. the speed also can hit 800kbps

If your P2P is heavily used then i think x2 4Mbps lines and divide the 2 lines to share 4 PC's each and the other line to the other 4 PCs + 1 (cuz of the 5th), unless you to get urselves a load balancer?

streamyx enteprise need business registration number right ? correct me if im wrong. but 4 9 pc, my suggestion is getting the 4mb streamyx package personal..

Mmm.. just using 2 or 3 1.0Mbps ADSL is not enuf? each line RM77/month only.

errr... how bout the monthly rental in the bills? it will cost a bomb rite?

not enough.. 2-3 1.0 MBPS line is total sucks..



if you got 9 ppl sharing there is no problem with the monthly bills d.. 638/9 or even 1000/9 still not that pain..

those sdsl are for enterprise...home user cant register if im not wrong...cause my streamyx agent choosing package there....all were enterprise.

1mbps=100~120kb/s download
2mbps=200kb/s++
4mbps=300kb/s also can reach

2mbps is very minimum game performance for 9 pc
4mbps wala...no need bother abt speed problem,as in my pm i could teach u how to set IpQoS for each computer so da bandwitdh wont drag all into 1 computer

Now, just recently call the streaming call center.
Eventually my place (U10 Shah Alam) do not have the coverage for 4.0mbps package..

Aduh.. xdak plak penat btol.

So the best solutions is i;m getting 2x1mbps streamyx package. But as you all said, the internet performance is not very2 goodlah.

*I'm thinking about the WIMAX... hmm bila la nak launch..

I thought under one phone line, its no point registering 2 streamyx account?
as
2x 1mbps under one phone line will be the same as 1mbps connection.
Unless u have 2 phone line.
