Indeed viewty is a good phone that has a similar camera function like N95 / N82

however, N82 flash is really good, better than k800.

Viewty is a touchscreen phone however there isnt any operating system for the phone. Unlike windows mobile or symbian. They have a lots of third party software for us to play around or enhance the capability of the phone. Not only that , although the phone has a large screen and is a touch screen phone but it lacks of WiFi capability or at least have a better web browser application like opera/netfront/safari. Look at iphone, though it is not a good camera phone, but it has a good browser and wifi.

So N82/N95 really has everything that we need. From A to Z. WiFi, camera, camcoder, xenon flash (n82), 8GB (N95 8GB), Symbian OS 9.2, GPS, built in 3D accelerator chip for gaming purpose (ngage) etc...


Its really a good phone I must say. However not all people like to play around with software and application, they might prefer something elegant , stylish or simple. So they might go for viewty / iphone.

But there are people who likes new thing, eg. symbian that has updating software from time to time, ngage 2.0 games that has really stunnnig 3D graphic.

There is a few for you to choose, like N73ME, 5700, 6120classic.

5700 will be a good choice since its a music express phone and symbian as well. Its hard to say if it lags or not. Depending on how you use it

K800i is better interm of features with 3.2Megapixel, autofocus , xenon flash, 3G etc...

im also in dilemma between these 2.. i prefer Z610i's stylish design (being a girl thing) but im also attracted to K800i's features (being a guy thing)

Get k800, don worry about image thing, i have frens (girl) that use k800 as well. And guy who use z610i. Since someone gonna buy it for u, so go for it. For imaging, k800 is way better with xenon and autofocus. For music, more or less is the same!



A good phone with camera ( autofocus ) and music. The only drawback is without 3G. Price have to check at garage sales there!

Go for N95 8GB, no regrets, remmeber LG choc? and K750, look at the price of both the phone now... which one has better second hand value?

#1 No need to pay, you only need to download the map and software and you are ready to go. Only AGPS need to pay which is assisted GPS.
#2 yes u need to install extra software, there are quite a few software for u to choose. They are not free, unless u use ahemahem version.

the Z610i has a 2mp camera without AF.its acceptable for snapshots with decent lighting but for anything else the k800i beats it.



around rm600 for an ap set now. Great Walkman phone with AF in its camera. Recommended if you dont mind not having 3G.

Hi, I'm looking for a phone to replace my REALLY aging Nokia 8310 (yup, I'm still using it and it's still working =P). Here are my wants:

1. Brand : Sony Ericson or Nokia
2. Budget : Below RM600
3. Specs : Has good battery life and durable (very important for an outdoor guy like me), bluetooth, good screen resolution? and comfortable keypad for texting =)
4. Type/Size. : Definitely candybar type, small and light


I don't really care about the camera nor do I care about the mp3 player function, those are optional. I just want a DURABLE phone (I often drop my phone, clumsy me) with good battery life (standby of 3 days or more) and a comfortable keypad.

Right now, SE looks nice but I don't know which to take while Nokia doesn't have nice candybar phone with good battery life.

There is plenty of phone out there, since you don care much with functions.

Go for a Nokia S40 that has 240x320 screen resolution.

I would say Nokia 6233 / Nokia 6300 both are good phone. Think about it.




Video quality is depends on your video. Not the phone, of course you can choose, some phone has a limited 15fps playback but high bitrate like nokia. SE has a relative lower bitrate but support up to 30FPS. But symbian is the best , no problem with 500kbps and 30FPS.

For stylish phone I really got no idea cause all the phone looks same to me, specs is more important.




Perhaps SE Z610i? A flip phone... any phone in market will do, nowadays most phone is 2megapix and with memory slot, perhaps you can come up with more specific specs like screen reso, autofocus, etc....

Hmmm... It does fit into my requirements except for one thing, the battery life. I read that it doesn't last more than 2 days. I could be wrong. Has anyone tried its battery life before?

For battery life it varies on how u use, and what set are u buying whether its ori or AP set. It depends actually on what the AP set gives u... for accuracy check in their respective thread discussion and ask the members there

For me I will go for 6233 instead of 6300.




6233 is good in music playing. For the second hand , RM450-500 is the price. It shouldnt be more than that



For SE, go for k800/k810 for the performance, it will never fail you. The music quality with HPM70/82 is very good, I use it b4 and all I can say it is superb, no regrets. Not to forget 3.2megapix and xenon. If you wana compare with W series, the only drawback of k800/k810 is the music player isnt that advance, meaning it cant filter the songs by genre etc. Bass wise, with HPM70/82 and tweak the equalizer, u are ready to go.

For nokia, the perhaps 5610 is your choice. Stylish, 3.2megapix, music phone with music chip built in. However there seems to be several bugs with the phone, do check in 5610 thread see if the new firmware fix those bugs.

I will go for K750i, better camera and best thing is we can mod it according to our need.

Something with the K530i LCD, it look yellowish, i got 2 friend who own them and seriously i don like the LCD.

K750i camera after modding it, it is superb. and with autofocus too.

There isnt much difference in term of music quality. Unless u are an audio freak, then u might notice the difference.

Go for the camera, Music Player of K series is lousier in term of the sorting method, as in W series we can sort according to Album , Genre etc.

But in K series we can only sort in Artist. While for megabass, don worry about it, in K800, the most left and most right equalizer set to max and equip ur phone with latest firmware match up with HPM 70/82 then its near to walkman already. Camera is better in K series unless u are talking about w810 which has a quite good camera also.

Of course, getting a second hand k800 is something like a new k750. Guess wat, only RM500-600 can get a second hand k800. With the 3.2megapix and autofocus, it can last you longer and with 3G somemore. Not to forget it has a good music quality play back in HPM70/82 earphone

Hmm, Nokia 6288? Looks nice with the glossy housing, the battery is long lasting, can listen for music up to 5hours + sms + a few calls and a few hours standby ... based on my experience. Screen Resolution is 240x320, big enough and bright, 2megapixel with VGA recording @ 15FPS , good recording quality. Support miniSD up to 2GB.

If that so, go for K800i , second hand is only 500-600. 3.2megapixel xenon flash autofocus etc.... 3G also.... tested it again video call with my friend just now on latest firmware, working like a charm, smooth and cool.




N95 8GB should be a good camera phone with dedicated music key and 8GB internal memory that is good enough for u to load songs and pictures.

N82 keypad is too small for u....




If that so, why not consider N81 8GB with only 2megapixel with extremely good music quality that u will put both thumbs up high like this

I am using it, simply good excellent quality with strong bass. Not to forget a smartphone with the best processor for symbian S60 at the moment. It is Equiped with 3 audio chip, DAC33 which is better than 5610 DAC33 chip. Another 2 is noise reduction chip and one more bass reproduction chip. The camera isnt that good cause got no autofocus only 2 megapixel.

Slide phone with 2 dedicated key for NGAGE2.0 and 4 dedicated key for music player. It has NAVI Wheel which work like ipod where we scroll around the touch sensitive dpad to navigate in gallery or music player.

AP set is 1.5k while ori set is 1.9k.
