Yeah dead pixels.. obviously just like any console you gotta check if its WORKING
and keep an eye on your console at all times, no switching around and whatnot.

i guess that's it.
didnt do any of those myself,though..

briefly test for wifi, even no signal is around,
test the mspd carefully if it's a fake one
the serial number, must match with box, and to remind the boss to write the serial no on the receipt

the receipt .. just to add one the other already give all that i can think of anyway...btw for some psp esp moded one(firmware) the serial is not match with the box... but thats is my case last time la... dont know if still the same now...

Check ur psp firmware.
Ask for gift like STRAP if nvr provide.
Test all buttons x, o, triangle, square, L, R, left, down, right, up, start, home, -, +, brightness, sound, select, analog touch screen (XD joking).
Make sure no scratches on all over ur psp.
Check every accessories that it provided.
Compare number of dead pixel.
Make sure there's no dust inside ur psp's LCD screen.. YES Im talking abt inside not outside. Sometimes it does have 1 or more. Make sure u pick the most less 1...

wht's mean of dead pixel?

the screen on our psp also work on pixel just like on our pc... pixel is small dot all over the screen, this small dot have super power where they can chage color to project an image.. dead pixel is a pixel that is already dead, turn on that psp and try to see the screen if u see one or more black color or other color spot that not suppose to be there.... for more beter way to check dead pixel try to google..


btw if u want to skip more step of checking ur psp.. go get it from ppl like djinn, sce and lot more. these are respected seller here i dont know bout the rest but i ve bought mine from djinn and sce both have superb service and friendly too... just ask then on the spot they sure can answer u..
