Hi, recently I saw this Jaring 1Mbps Promotion, RM69 per month (24months contract). I am just curious how far best it is compared to Streamyx in terms of reliability, frequent disconnection and so on. I am using Streamyx 512kbps now and all I get is frequent disconnection on certain times(kinda got used to it already rclxub.gif

If you have infrastructure problems, like what your post indicates, your problem will not go away. But if you can solve it, Jaring should have better quality connectivity compared to TMNet.

Jaring is better than streamyx. Before this, I cant access certain websites but the problem resolved when I use jaring. It's good for torrent and downloading big size file

My connection always disconnected too due to bad telephone line.

Hmm, some how Jaring does has a bad connection to chinese website and some site is hard to visit~

I have encountered a site which I can visit during TMnet's service but not Jaring's~

But overall is still better than Screamyx because at least do not need switch IP to make a connection stable~

So does Jaring have frequent disconnections during rainy days?
prasys
The disconnection is related to your phone line. If its bad, it will still disconnect !

Oh, ic...i didnt know that. Sry to bother, but i got another question. Does jaring throttle p2p? And if I use bitcomet, will I disconnect frequently due to high usage of Half-TCP settings?

i been using streamyx for the past 3 years. I do agree sometimes it does have problem like disconnect or slow but its like once a blue moon. it doesnt disconnect every single day for the past 3 years.

If your area is new get streamyx its more stable and fast.

Its like ppl say 99% webhosting uptime but sometimes u cant access .

Is very easy to compare.. imagine 1 port which can support 500 ppl is used to support 5000 ppl..

Jaring port fixed = support 500 ppl
TM port = which can support 500 ppl used to support 5000 ppl for more money..

where can stable???

My torrent runs at ~100kBps using utorrent, no frequent disconnection. My problem when using torrent is that my modem always hang.

Jaring never throttle P2P.... is TM throttle p2p.. so practically all ISP in Msia is under TM. So all also kena throttle.. if dowan kena throttle.. use VPN la.. then ma no kena lo..

Dun get wrong IDEA..

TM is Malaysia ONLY super-internet backbone to the world..though u join other ISP still line is jz sub out from TM.. if TM throttle all means GG for all.. same 1.. so u practically suffering same thing in all over the place.. the only different between all is the stable of line of internet during surfing and gaming onli..
