@masrost:Q6600's naturally perform much better in syntethic benchmarks. In real world performance though, the performance difference is rather small.

Couldn't agree more, processors with more cores will definitely score higher in benchmarks but in real world there's not much difference because not all the cores is fully utilized. icon_rolleyes.gif

Mine P4 is close to 3 only in relative speed with 3.6GHz running on.I think is the slowest if i upload the print screen here.

the fsb strap/performance level has been loosened on later revisions of p35 ds3 after revision 1.0 as well as the bios loosening the performance level, thats why you are having lower scores when you update the bios as well.

no. not for all boards and bioses. my statement is for p35 ds3 only

if you would try bios F4 and F5 or later versions, and use everest memory and cache bandwidth test, you would notice there is a difference between those 2.

bios F4 is still the best optimized bios, although tougher to oc on (depends la)
