Yes, you need to uninstall the previous version then only you install VTP 8
Try uninstalling in safe-mode..

Yes, but of course it doesn't emulate Vista 100%, at least it gives you somewhat a Vista feel. - Stability wise it's quite stable for me, about the windows system what they modified or do anything with it I'm not familiar.

That is seriously sad but what about the
System Restore option? If this is possible, then I don't think you will need to reformat your computer.

It's not even THAT far, yet none of the programs in this world are perfect and free from bug, just you never notice it. Heck, you don't even pay for this VTP 8.0.1 anyway. People do it for free.

I doubt it’s because of the graphic card as I’d installed it on my old computer system, Celeron processor, 256Mb and on-board graphic card and I still manage to get it installed and run without any lag or issue. It’s weird indeed that nothing happened after double-clicking on the installer. How about downloading the installer again? Just a suggestion.

Sorry, if this question seem a bit stupid, or annoying. Thank you in advance for clearing my doubts though. ^^
So I've noticed that there are many people discussing about the Vista Transformation Pack that transforms your Win XP to almost exactly like Windows Vista. However, what are the benefits of doing so?
Is it so that you won't have to pay for Vista?
Does it cost less RAM than Vista?
Is it just plain cooler to have a Windows XP that looks like Vista?
Are there any other benefits?
Your share of thoughts would be very much appreciated. =)

Answer:
In a way yes.Because you will have all the GUI effects. But you won't have the security function.
Almost the same.To run the VTP smoothly, you will need 1GB RAM.Same as minimum requiment for Vista.
Some think so.Some don't give a s**t.

Right click on desktop, click on properties, then select Aero theme from the theme drop menu
or try to find it under the Appearance tab

many reasons, some do not want to use Vista and prefer to stick with XP for the compatibility, or some who cant use Vista but wanna feed on the eye candy that Vista could offer
